Kamala Harris announces her State of the Union Address Guest

Many people in Congress invite "guests" to attend the State of the Union Address.

After much controversy the SOTUA will be this Tuesday Feb 5th.

Senator Kamala Harris (an announced candidate for President 2020) has invited a Federal Employee to attend.

The guest is a Woman who is an air traffic controller (in California of course) and she and her husband and 3 kids lost their house in one of recent wildfires and was furloughed during the recent gov shutdown.

Can't imagine the total hardship for this poor Woman who's Husband is also an air traffic controller.

That whole 30 days going without money must have been devastating and maybe their house was uninsured too !!

The guest and her husband make around $225,000 a year at their Federal jobs (yes their names and pay scales are on the Fed salary register), and probably have golden health insurance with extra benefits to boot.

A truly heartwarming and wholesome story I'm sure.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., confirmed on Saturday who will accompany her to Tuesday's State of the Union address.

The 2020 presidential hopeful will be joined by a federal employee who was financially affected by the recent 35-day partial government shutdown, Harris tweeted.

Gee, I never get invited to things like that. A trip to the zoo full of donkeys and elephants would be kind of fun.

If she's also from SF...I hope she scrapes the human feces off her shoes before she enters the SOTU.

Hmmmm, interesting. I would invite OJ Simpson onstage and pardon him in front of Congress....just cause he can.

While one will speak of great good news, one will build a wall of news of personal disaster , but they won't allow the dead policeman's family speak. How said America has become.

Perhaps the President should invite the victims of illegal violence and sit them all behind him as he makes an announcement about the wall? Pretty neat huh?
