Scotland 33 -20 Italy

A comfortable and competent performance with quite a bit of flair from our small and injury-ravaged squad, but we slackly let Italy back into it once the job was done (at 33-3).
I hope we get some of our experienced guys back soon... I think we might need them.

Well done Wales last night, but I have to say... I thought France threw it away in 2nd half.

Have to agree with you with the Scotland match Gordi. Points wise the difference at 33-3 would have put them at the top of the table.
Wales just decided to play in the second half of their match...they bloody do it almost every match, but sometimes they 'turn it on' a tad too late.
Really disappointed with Ireland really thought they should have had that match 'in the bag' before they hit the pitch

Massively disagree. I think that is the disappointed Welsh in you, rather than a balanced view? Personally, i thought the France Wales game was excellent. Can't believe the French blew it, they were excellent in the 1st half. Fair play to Wales though, look like they will take some beating.

And then we have England destroying Ireland (no other words for it, completely battered the Irish). That was the best collective team performance in world rugby over the last year (as even the ever begrudging Kiwis are saying). That said, i do not want to get carried away as it is only one game. However, IF England can keep that going all tournament then they will take some beating for the World Cup, never mind the Six Nations.

Scotland also look good but until they learn to win on the road (3 away this year), they will not win the tournament.

Hi Flavian.......I posted that at end of first half. Wales, as they often do, seem to come out in the second half. I have the same feelings as you regarding Scotland, tough going for them.
As to England v Ireland game, I really thought 'on paper' Ireland should have taken this match. As a Welsh person, I'm sure you can appreciate that I will support any of England's opposition

Scotland 13 - Ireland 22 > Good game, but result not unexpected

Wales 26 - Italy 15 > I think Italy played really well against a mediocre Wales. Good game though.

England hammer the French 44 to 8.

Very good game, but perhaps not for the French, eh?

Hi Jane,

It's nicely set up for the Wales vs England game. It's the 6 nations though, so i would amazed if there were not a few twists and turns yet.

On the one hand, i am feeling like a rather smug Englishman at the moment but then consistency has been our problem, so we will see.

On the other hand, Wales have 2 wins without actually being that good and with mass changes. So i should be very confident, BUT...................
