Again what great things has South Africa done to help the world? How much foreign aid or countries has it defended, then helped to rebuild after wars or disasters? We aren't angels but we do more good than harm most places. I agree that Libya and Syria we not needed.

Canada is good. They haven't done things on the scale of the US both good and bad.

Do you want to compare amount of aid ect to other countries.

Bash away if you feel you need to. There are many good countries and many good countries to live in. I thought we were talking most overall good planet wide.

you may be the most divided country in the world.

You know how siblings fight like cats and dogs and they are perfectly fine with it, but when an outsider says the same thing it's not ok? That is America.
We have always been divided when you think about it.

Everyone can think what they want of America, but I'll tell you this, everyone sure does want to come live here, come vacation here, talk about our politics, talk on ATS about us.

Something must still be pretty great about us!

Canada is good. They haven't done things on the scale of the US both good and bad.

We had Canadian friends volunteer to bring hot wings to our superbowl party one year.
They showed up at the door, with a gigantic platter of bare naked wings devoid of any sauce (because they thought it might be too spicy) Sorry, but after that Canada is just out of the discussion!

Not sure if its the greatest country in the world but one thing is for certain; the world would be a damn sight worse place without them!

Like most things/places/people it has its good points and bad.

The stereotypical arrogant, insular Yank is a pain in the arse....but I know enough of them and about them to know that stereotype isn't quite as common as many suppose.

They are a young people and like the prodigal son they'll return to the greatest family there is one day and they'll be welcomed with open arms.
