No Wall Needed And Here’s Why.

Why? Stepping up to the plate financially, and legally would seem like the right thing to do, but most people would back down instantly, if a contract were put in front of them. Let me explain further.

I’m 1st generation here, in the USA, both parents are from Europe, both had to wait years to immigrate to the USA, after they applied, per the immigration protocols. In fact, both parents had to have what is called legal and financial sponsors. We never took any government aid, assistance, not hand-outs ever, in fact the military, and hard-work was the way to the American dream for our family.

What does this mean? Well someone from a family (In the USA), or someone willing to take personal and financially responsibility for immigrants coming over, had to sign a contract, and go through a financial and legal background check. If they screwed up the person that sponsored them, into the USA, was held accountable.

I’m willing to bet that most people yelling, screaming, and acting like irrational children would instantly change their stance on illegal immigration, if they had to be accountable for someone legally, and financially. Yet these same irrational people don’t have any issue with making every US tax payer accountable financially, and legally for illegal immigrants.

In essence, when families, or individuals do not have a personal sponsor to come into the USA, the burden is picked up by everyone.

Here’s my proposal. All the people that are staunch defenders of illegal immigrants coming into the USA should be put on a sponsor list; a thorough background check to see if they can financially, and legally support a person, or family that wishes to immigrate to the USA must be done. Once the sponsor's have been vetted, then they need to sign a legal contract with immigration, stating they are completely 100% responsible as a host, until that person becomes a legal citizen, or until that person leaves the USA.

Ask them the question. Will you fill the void, and take legal, and financial responsibility personally, since you feel to strongly about this issue?

In fact, we most likely wouldn’t even need a wall.

This does nothing to prevent the need for the wall. Illegal immigrants are different than your family. The illegals just come into the country with no accountability. How do we assign a sponsor to them if we don't know they are here?

None of them will . Leftists do not Care about the " Weapons " they try and use to Destroy the Country . Illegals are just the Cannon Fodder they use to Attack something they Seem to Hate , National Sovereignty ...

You make it easier for the ones who want to come here and be contributing members of our society to do so, our current immigration policy is onerous and ponderous. You need a system that has them put some skin in the game to ensure that they remain once we permit them here.

I agree with this but the reality is that we cannot take everyone....

The number of people who want to come to America far exceeds our capability and resources in the country. As such, we have to be selective about who we allow to immigrate.

When the illegals are caught, they have a choice of families to pick to sponsor them, then they get sent back, and wait their turn.

The people that are defenders of illegals will already be on the approved sponsor list.

They can put their passionate agenda's where their mouth is.

Why would you think that 'leftists' want to destroy the country?

Also, there is no 'danger' to the country from immigrants, illegal or otherwise. Undocumented immigration has been happening for hundreds of years and there is no more threat or danger involved now, than there ever was previously. There is also significant analyses that suggest that overall, it has been good for the country and it has strengthened the country financially, socially and politically.

All this "Illegal Invasion" is all a big propagandist beat-up by Trump, to take power (which includes him demolishing the Constitutional government structure and establishing himself as dictator). It is a fairly standard nationalist, right-wing power play, historically.

If you could create an environment where people want to submit to background checks and monitoring this might work.
The problem that we keep hearing about from Republicans is that immigrants with criminal histories are using our borders to traffic drugs and undocumented slave labor.
Nothing from the Democrats yet to counter the Republican argument.

I liked trumps idea for the catch and release program to release all the illegals into democrat districts.
Then they will be right in the same neighborhood as the OP's potential sponsors.

By the time all Americans realize they need a wall, and just exactly why they do... It will be too late...

Gonna be a lot of people feeling awfully sorry for themselves, left with only regret and shame...

After the invasion this very problem existing in the USA of the left and the right leads to civil war, massive unrest bloodshed, martial law economic collapse, all while dealing with Russia and China culminating with limited global thermonuclear exchange...

Funny how things like this have been predicted, yet given the warnings going unheeded... People seem to follow the script enrirely...

Why is there a disconnect between Immigration and Illegal Immigration?

Yeah sure Maybe you live in a fairy tale world OP. Most of the people who "say" they want the illegals here wouldn't risk a dime to get them in. Conservatives on the other hand would help a family member or friend get in, conservatives are more family and close friend oriented. By the way, Trump acts like a liberal, a fair weather friend at best if you do what he says. But even Trump has some good friends that he would bend over back for. He is not a strong liberal.

The reason Liberals do not stick their necks out is they got burned by people when they were young and now would rather give to charities that burn most of the money up instead of getting it to the people who are supposed to get it. Liberal charities get less money to the customer and pay better wages. Vinnis is a conservative charity, they do not pay their help well and much of the help is volunteers, unless of course it is in a liberal area.

Concervatives are community based, liberal is nationwide based, they want to change everything to socialism,,,,,except they want more money or prestige for their starting effort. I have seen conservative charities help the poor and also liberal charities help dogs and cats for often...giving the money to the vets a lot of the time or upgrading existing structures of the organization with fundraisers. At least the Humane societies do help the animals though. I won't complain about that but do complain about some of the other supposedly humane adoption centers that steal animals from others, making up stuff about them just because their dog is sick and the people can't afford to bring them to the vet. I could go on and on about this but it is off topic.

If you want to get sponsors, it would be better to target conservatives with this kind of thing, not the people wanting illegals in because they can hire them for half the price.

And I for one am not worried about a civil war.
