The bills yesterday were for 3-weeks of funding?
How many weeks away is Feb 15th?
What does your calendar say? I was asking if the two bills defeated in the Senate yesterday were 3-week stopgap funding bills.
The Senate also rejected a Democratic spending bill, which has passed the House 231-180. This bill would have temporarily funded the government through Feb. 28, until a new deal could be reached.
Got some numbers to back up that claim or heck even a link from Salon or even Mother Jones 😆

He did the right thing however - he basically threw a tantrum because of his wall, and stopping the inane pointless shutdown made sense. I think border security and immigration is an important topic. I don't think for a moment it's a national emergency, imminent peril type of situation - and it's sad he convinced so many of his followers that it is.
Priceless. Trump was wrong for asking for something you believe in. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No I think you're misunderstanding him. He's saying that he believes in border security as it relates to immigration, but doesn't believe its a national emergency.
And how many more millions do we allow in illegally before its considered a emergency? I mean since 20 million is such a laughably low amount.
The number has been steadily decreasing for a decade, which would indicate that rather than an emergency, the severity concurrently is also lessening. Since Trump was mum on the 'Mexico illegal immigration emergency' a decade ago at its height, its logical to conclude that the current outrage is of political manufacture.

lot of people are jumping the gun here.
We need to wait and see the bill and who voted for it.
This joint resolution provides continuing FY2019 appropriations to several federal agencies through the earlier of February 28, 2019, or the enactment of the applicable appropriations legislation.
...
Additionally, the CR has the effect of extending through February 28, 2019, several authorities and programs that were extended in prior CRs, including
- the Violence Against Women Act,
- the authority for the Environmental Protection Agency to collect and spend certain fees related to pesticides,
- the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, and
- several authorities related to immigration.
House rejected the amendment to H.J. Res 31, so it will go to conference. H.J. Res. 28 was agreed to, so that’s what went to the President to sign.
6:57:01 P.M. The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on January 25, 2019 at 6:25 p.m.: That the Senate passed H.J. Res. 28 amended and that the Senate passed H.J. Res. 31 with an mendment, insists on its amendment and requests a Conference with the House.

Unfortunately it says only passed the house.
The one he signed was most likely changed by the senate before voting on it.
I'm also reading that there are two bills and one deals with daca.
Anyone who thinks Trump actually cares about a wall, hasn’t been paying attention.
