The democrats probably just realized that all of those government workers are getting a paid vacation of over a month (maybe to be 6 months, a year, who knows). So they are probably just doing what they think is responsible so that they wouldn't waste taxpayers money.

This should be front page news. Whether you agree with the shutdown or not, no matter who you blame, these workers could be getting paid. The only reason they are not getting paid now is because of the Democrats. But this can't be reported because it would take away all of Pelosi's leverage on Trump. We all know the media is biased, but this is nothing short of them taking sides with Pelosi.

That? The part they can all agree on, to pay the workers, got voted down by Democrats. Democrats refuse to compromise one iota. Trump has come down from wanting 10s of billions of dollars to a little over 5. They're still on zero. In the meantime though, while they're absolutely refusing to compromise, these workers could be getting paid. Pelosi said no.

What are we up to now? DACA recipients, abandoned by Pelosi. Temporary protected status, abandoned by Pelosi. Federal workers, abandoned by Pelosi. No amount of spin will change any of those facts. The back and forth is ongoing, but until that's resolved, these workers can either be paid or unpaid. They could've gotten paid, if the Democrats passed that bill. That's ALL that was in the bill. There was no pork no riders, nothing controversial. Democrats voted no on a bill to pay the workers. Period. Accept it. You got played, AGAIN. You thought they actually gave a # about those workers. They don't. They care about resisting Trump. They'd toss you off a cliff if they could blame Trump for it.

This is $5B, it's a rounding error on the budget, and it's for national defense (border security). The histrionics Nancy is having over this are not worth it, but there we go.

I would say it's not worth it, but not for the reasons MSNBC want to portray it as.
