It's media's job to be critical of the government, not the other way around.
It's our job to be critical of the media.
But our lazy citizens want the media to tell them what to think and how to vote. This is societies fault.
I hate to break it to people, but we have to be skeptical of anyone who makes profit from ideas, so we have to read many ideas and read between the lines.

I agree, but that's because 50% of eligible voters take part. How many of them actually know what's going on? How many diversify their information?
Asking the government to fix this won't work. I'm just saying it now. People either wake up and demand more or it gets worse from here. We are the solution, not the government.

The problem is not the 50% of eligible voters not taking part. It's the 50% of INeligible voters taking part that is the problem. IMO
First things first: large corporate media empires are not journalists.. that’s a lie or misconception.
That’s why attacking such companies is not attacking journalists or the free press.
Journalists and real news orgs, which seem to be on the endangered species list, are to provide a check on the gov.
People need to break their mind from these companies.
I agree that there’s a trans-party establishment, that largely is in cahoots.

Well as I mentioned in response to critical, its more of establishment bias.
The establishment republicans and dems are about the same.
But if we are hones, we see 90% of the msm, academia, cultural influences, and tech ceos and companies are establishment democrat.
And the establishment democrats are just like the neocons, war mongering power hungry people who work in cohension with the deep state.
Let’s be clear here though, most real leftists from Green Party to socialists consider these establishment “liberals” to be fakes, from Clinton to the Wall st bail outs to endless wars.

*Bold is done by me*
And the part in bold is something I can get behind.
Use private citizens and the courts to hold the media accountable for something they jumped the gun on without having enough facts, causing damage to people.
That is a much better approach than giving the federal government more power in regulating media, use existing laws.
Good. They have my support.

William Barr, soon to become America's top law enforcement officer, endorses throwing reporters and journalists in jail, if they cross a "red line".
If I know the government, they'll start moving that red line every year .
The salt I expect when someone arbitrarily finds themselves on the wrong side of it.
Exactly which is why we shouldnt criminalize even wrong stories.
We already see how the government tries to censor people critical of them, ask the FBI.
SO I diont want them to have this power.

I do think there need to be consequences.
Mass propaganda or falsehoods is horrible for democracy, community understanding, etc. mass media should not be able to get away with it.

The Left confuses the Mob with Democracy. They do not understand that their current Mob Mentality is not democratic, it's fascist.
A true Liberal would understand this. The Left does not. The Left is in control of the Democrat party and for Liberals like us where does it leave us? I wish more actual Liberals would realize how bad the Democrat party actually is.
then again, I guess a lot have it's called #walkaway

There's no clearer evidence of this than Glenn Greenwald using his attorney background (through real journalism) to call out the establishment left.
Ironically many people confuse that with being a Trump supporter/apologist.
Long before Greenwald, Noam Chomsky was doing the same.

I've read several of Noam's books, watched countless interviews with him, and more recently heard a great back and forth between him and Jeremy Scahill's podcast through The Intercept.
Did you know that he is unofficially banned from being on western media?
BTW I think it was you that pointed out I sound like a Classical Liberal, and if I had a gun to my head to identify with a group, it would be that or a left leaning Libertarian.
