I don't think they should be wearing MAGA or any other political hat on a school outing.
They should be focused on the reason for the trip.
Obviously, a non-neutral presentation causes misunderstandings (putting it mildly), etc.
In a joke on Twitter, Rep. John Yarmuth on Sunday called for a “total and complete shutdown of teenagers wearing MAGA hats,” saying they “seem to be poisoning young minds.”
The joke was in response to President Trump’s call for a ban on Muslims entering the country until representatives can figure out “what is going on."
The President’s fans seem far more upset by my (obvious) joke about banning hats than they were when the President said literally the same thing about banning actual human beings. Go figure. pic.twitter.com/v0qAXoyD5N

Yarmuth, who was elected Chairman of the House Budget Committee in late December, said the hats, which display President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, should be banned on teens until “we can figure out what is going on.”
The statement follows controversy and national outrage surrounding a viral video of Covington Catholic High School students. It depicts an incident involving the students, who were there for the “March for Life,” clashing with an Indigenous Peoples' March in Washington, D.C., on Friday.

Any wonder Congress doesn't seem to get much done.
I would like to see some rule forcing him to wear a dunce cap.

It's a joke until it isn't.
Wouldn't be the first time Democrats have tried to ban free expression in some form or another. Remember Tipper Gore going all puritanical on bands like Twisted Sister?

Why don’t they just make voting republican illegal?
Seems to be the more honest course of action
