Not saying the military does some good, sometimes...though name something occupation or operation, you think is worth mentioning, that suggest that majority, if not all the missions in the last the say 60 years or so, since Vietnam, have been more of an offensive attack, not defense.

Illegally entering or residing in the country (or any country for that matter) is a criminal offence.

Hence the term illegal immigrant. They are criminals by definition.

Albany Mayor Kathy M. Sheehan said in a national television interview that it’s not a crime for immigrants to live in the U.S. without documentation.

Sheehan, a Democrat, was defending her city’s status as a so-called "sanctuary city" to Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The city's law enforcement officials do not report undocumented immigrants to federal authorities unless they commit a serious crime.

"Simply being in this country without documentation is not a crime," Sheehan said. "The U.S. Supreme Court has said that."

Carlson was left baffled.

"You just said that being here illegally is not illegal? I’m not aware of that Supreme Court decision," Carlson said. "How is that true?"

Sheehan cited a court ruling.

"In Arizona v. the United States, the Supreme Court said simply being here undocumented is not a crime," she said. "There are civil violations and then there are criminal violations."

So, who’s right? Sheehan or Carlson?

I feel your pain. Same thing happened right here in my neighborhood. Scumbag killed four people, one of them his cousin. He shot the man and his wife then slit the throats of two small children and set the house on fire. His relatives had come here legally and made a nice life for themselves. Word from the father of the slain woman is that the illegal was doing what he needed to do to be accepted into the Mexican mafia which has its headquarters in a nearby town. Thanks to the influx of illegals that small town has now become the second most dangerous in KY.

Agree with you on the laws on the border and protecting it better...problem has been going on for a long time and gotten worse...more about the situation and reason why some of the people seeking entry and refugee status, as empathy on what they are going through and how they have been oppressed and majority are just seeking a better way of life for themselves and family, with no criminal intent, imo.

Solution might be just create some jobs like immigrant camps that have sewing and manufacturing jobs for workers to make some money and place to stay, that would be comparable to what they would get in the usa, as undocumented worker ... like $3 an hour and then have stores selling their merchandise like walmart, made by immigrant wannabees lable.
