Post some interviews with king himself that back up your claim that he held current republican views.

King himself never publicly aligned with a political party, nor did he register with one. Therefore, we can only go by the bigger picture. You won't find any interviews that give a clear cut answer either. However:

-His father was a vocal Republican.
-His surviving family is active in the Republican party
-King grew up in an environment where the biggest opponents to civil rights legislation were Democrats.
- A quote from Frances Rice, chairman of the National Black Republican Association:

[he] "absolutely was a Republican," and "We were all Republicans in those days. The Democrats were training fire hoses on us, siccing dogs on us."

- A quote from King himself:

A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God.

Does that sound like anything you'd hear a Democrat say today?

One of the biggest misconceptions in contemporary politics is that the Democratic party is an advocate of Black America. To put it plainly, they want black votes, but not black progress. They want state dependants, not self determination. If MLK was alive today, there's little doubt in my mind that he would recognize this.
