45 million people right, you guys totally under estimate the economy right now we are headed into really dark territory
We had better build a wall to keep those undesirables out, or in, or at least just away...
The vast majority of US citizens already have that.
We call them homes.
If people get desperate enough those homes will not be safe they will be targets.
Not for the homes that believe in gun rights. It will be target practice.
DeJohn and Lebron in the Ghetto also have guns.
Those starving rioters will be armed too.

I hope if this shutdown has taught Americans anything, it is to plan ahead, to not rely on the government. I do however have sympathy for anyone that experiences the ill effects caused by the shutdown.
Apparently everyone who has food stamps is trash.
They are lazy, spend it on tobacco, and don't deserve it.
But even then, we spit and look down on those less fortunate.

I agree, somehow insidiously we have found ourselves in a Fascist state, with the politics of the extreme playing out. Changing the situation wont be easy as nobody relinquishes power easily.

The sad thing in this thread is the utter lack of empathy that I am now regularly connecting with those on the right, and right now, Trump supporters. Apparently everyone who has food stamps is trash. They are lazy, spend it on tobacco, and don't deserve it. What a sad view. There are many who are just victim to bad circumstances. But hey.. let's just lump them all together as "lazy losers" and not worry about their sad fates.
In the U.S., welfare benefits pale in comparison to other countries. Sort of like our benefits to employees does as well (being pregnant in the U.S. is a dire thing, compared to other countries). But even then, we spit and look down on those less fortunate. Mind, I know there are cases of lazy people who would rather take welfare than work. That's sad but true as well - but you can't paint them all with the same brush and just not worry about it.

I'm of the opposite mind. If the food stamps go, we're going to see america at her best. You'll see an outpouring of love and compassion, time and food from the people of this country. No one is going to let their neighbors starve because they were on food stamps. In fact, the dems would be stupid to let this happen (food stamps go unfunded). It would blow a hole a mile wide in their platform of reliance on government.
