Discussed this elsewhere. Got informed wearing the MAGA hat was akin to wearing a Clan hood. Those poor souls at the Memorial who had to endure that! As such, these entitled kids simply mocked other cultures on a historic location on a historic weekend.

Nothing else took place. There were no other circumstances. The MAGA hat eclipses any other considerations. If these kids get death threats, it's on them.

If you watched the whole video and that's what you come away with, what am I supposed to say to that? Please don't get any slivers from your pitchfork and torch?

At this point I am simply trying to calm and center myself. It is depressing the mobs can be so easily swayed counter to what's before their own eyes. Makes me want to move even further back in the boonies.

I never said the March of Life should be disrupted by Antifa, nor did anyone do so. Right? Why would you even go down this tangent?

I feel that I have to praise those young men all the way from Europe. This is how it all panned out in my head.

- I was reading the headline that claimed MAGA hatted youth were assaulting a native indian.

- I felt instant dissonance because that is not how the right works, that's how the left works. I literally couldn't believe it and felt kinda sad that there were some morons that would drag Trump and the mildly right like that.

- Played with the idea that if they really did that, they could have been fakes. I,e lefties trying to smear the right, it just didn't make sense.

- Got to the internet today and watched the whole video. And my worldview was restored.

I am so proud of those intelligent boys that didn't succumb to childish insults, screeching, reeeeeeeing or other infantile shennanigans.

However something else has happened.

- I have less sympathy for extreme, racist minorities. Actually I start to resent them as they keep showing me that their intelligence isn't quite up to par. They are taking the 'you have to feel sorry for me' right over the edge, so much so that I don't feel sorry any longer if they are allowed to spout such hatred and racism against minors.

Time to rip the victim badge right off and throw it into the gutter as they seem to be anything BUT oppressed. They should be in jail.

The question is why would the media use an edited clip and not watch the entire video? My guess is they make the headline making Trump supporters look bad and make a correction later when they've already inflicted massive damage.

My Facebook was full of the edited clip and people outraged by the kids. I was even upset until I found out more and it was the opposite

Way to make money (maintain viewerratings) on a news story that isn't newsworthy: report on it twice. Must have really cut into all the commercial time on CNN.

In other news (on CNN) and in between the commercials and news stories promoting some business venture, product (like 5G technology) or entertainment product (personality, or movies, TV-shows, books and sports), I think I saw about 10 seconds of a report on Israel's war profiteering in Syria, of course the term war profiteering was never mentioned:

Anyone that watched that longer video objectively could see that this was not a neutral situation. The behavior from the Black Hebrews earlier on was inexcusable, the boys behavior was less than exemplary - and Nathan Phillips was trying to do what he thought was the right thing in the moment. Probably not the best choice. All of this spontaneous, unscripted - and ugly

I personally think the young man did what any teenager might do in a situation that he's never been in before: stand there with a sh!t-eating grin trying to look tougher than he feels - and cooler than he'll ever be. He's released his statement (through a public relations firm - who does that?)

You say he lied based on your perception of what you saw. I don't see that he lied. You should give him the benefit of the doubt. But, you can't do that - can you?

As more of the “MAGA teens” flooded the plaza from behind us, our small group of remaining demonstrators moved forward, away from them. We were following Nathan Phillips, who played his drum with confidence and courage, and sang a sacred prayer for peace — to de-escalate the growing nervousness on the plaza. It was Nathan who’d lead us in the circle dance. A tall man with a drum and voice like his is hard to miss. And now the MAGA boys noticed Nathan, too.

From that point, things escalated quickly. We were surrounded by the boys, and we were alarmingly outnumbered. As we attempted to continue our path and move through the crowd, the boys closed in around us, until finally, one particular boy stood in front of Nathan and refused to let us pass.

Nathan stopped walking, but he kept singing and playing his drum — staring right into the smirking boy’s eyes. We all huddled around him as the other boys began to push, prod, and bump us into a tighter and tighter cluster. They were mocking Nathan’s sacred music with purposefully disrespectful dancing and a perverted imitation of his singing. Their imitations were the racist tropes of “Indian chants” — the stereotypical grunting and “hiyahiyahiyas” of representations past.

As the boys molded our huddle, I felt panic growing in my gut.
I felt trapped. There were so many of them around us that I couldn’t see out beyond them. All I could see was cold faces full of empty laughter, boys intoxicated on their own false sense of power, control, and entitlement.
