"Facebook has been lying to the public about the scale of its problem with fake accounts, which likely exceed 50% of its network. Its official metrics—many of which it has stopped reporting quarterly—are self-contradictory and even farcical. The company has lost control of its own product."

Apparently, many of these fake accounts are just "click bots" that randomly click on ads. What this means is, Facebook is scamming its advertisers by falsifying advertising metrics so they can charge higher rates for ads.

It's not really scamming the ad companies. If these bots are "click bots" that do nothing but click on ads = the ad companies benefiting also.

They're definitely scamming the people who pay for the ads. How would you feel if you spent good money buying an ad on Facebook, only to learn that fully half the accounts (and probably 70%-80% of the ad clicks) are fake?

TBH...when i was an entrepreneur, I just looked at bottom line. Did my biz go up or down...or maybe stay the same?

Try stuff...find out...adjust.. I'm not a big facebooks fan....but, this particular point seems educationally benign, to me. Outcome, trumps ideology.

On the occasion of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a group of over 60 prominent American citizens is calling upon Congress to reopen the investigations into the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Signers of the joint statement include Isaac Newton Farris Jr., nephew of Reverend King and past president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference; Reverend James M. Lawson Jr., a close collaborator of Reverend King; and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, children of the late senator.

Really not expecting this to go anywhere but some of the signatories are interesting.

Kinda funny. One might think that signature forging is a bit of an art...or, at least, I do. Yet, the distinct break in the final "i" in the examples is pretty clear. She lifts her pen from the paper, and does the last letter, on it's own. Def a subconscious tic...but, so telling.

Stress can change handwriting. Flow is lost when nerves get jangled. Writing becomes choppy and changes its character shapes. It is tough to stay on lines because of impatient nervousness. Hurry.

My bet is that Pelosi is playing a part she doesn't want to play. Remember, Trump said he hoped that she was Speaker because he had her in a box. She had to be Speaker to fulfill her part of the bargain. She probably figured that as Speaker she had a chance of turning things around if 'terrorists' got to POTUS and VPOTUS and she became POTUS. An escape attempt with Schiff on a USAF plane didn't work and her passport has been tagged so she can't go commercial. I expect as a Plan B she would have bolted in Brussels if an attempt on Trump missed. What family did she have with her heading for the plane? If Mr. P was there, more likely that Plan B was on the table.
All was thwarted, so now she has to read the script and publicly tank her party or worse things will happen than the bad things that she already knows about. She will become more and more desperate as the headsman's axe is sharpened and heightened SS protection and misdirection will be imperative. If she gets away with minimal jail time, all of her assets should be confiscated and pensions revoked so she can work minimum wage jobs for a while. Crumbs for Nancy. Obamacare.
I do wonder how much information is now being shared among the rats as each is figuring out how to escape while trying to appear innocent to the public. These people are all "one way" Buddy Fscrewers. When the bear is attacking, you only have to outrun the person you are with. All are probably looking for deals and would stab each other without thinking twice....and they all know it. Self isolation while worrying about who will sacrifice you to escape is a bit of a stressor, itself, and may minimize plots because who can the black hats trust?

Depression and/or medication can also change handwriting. No doubt she is on medication but in this instance, I believe (not know) someone else signed the document for her and with her approval.

I agree it is so damn hard to open people's minds.

Even starting with the last 60 years of local history does not make a dent.

They cannot admit to their own minds that the world is an effing bad bad place.

They are all safe in their tiny paradigms.

I want to see the change before I die. Give us all some hope for the future.

I am not seeing anything yet. I will keep hoping ... until I die.

What happens after that is something I don't know.

I hope it is re-incarnation ... as an avenging Angel.

Born into the tail end of the darkness and somehow managing to stagger in the beginning of the awakening of the light ages.

Those who have straddled this light line see things in a very different way, aware of the hate and evil - raised on it, and also aware of the light in equal measure. Reconciling this is the hardest for those who came early and stayed.
