www.foxnews.com...

“I’ve chosen to cross different parts of the media world, done the work so that I’m qualified to be in each one. I never considered my color the issue, I considered my qualifications the issue,” Webb said. “That’s a whole, another long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing, that people of color don’t have the privilege of,” said Martin – who also hosts CBS’ “Face the Truth.” A dumbfounded Webb asked, “How do I have the privilege of white privilege?” Martin responded, “David, by virtue of being a white male you have white privilege.” The Fox Nation host then explained that he was actually black. “I stand corrected,” Martin said.

I don't think it has hit the bottom yet, there may be just a bit more stupid to come out before we all realize that "white privilege" is the same as saying "all black people are......" When you generalize an entire group of people based on the color of their skin, it's wrong. Even if that skin color is white. We have been slowly learning that as a species and progress was being made, but when something so idiotic as this happens, it moves us backwards, and opens the door for the stupid to creep back into the other side. We worked so hard to stop that from happening, why would we give up all the progress just because a few idiots what to manufacture something called "white privilege"?

She's racist.

She's attributed an ideological standpoint to a skin color.

She's racist.

Based on the facts, I see no other alternative. She should be publicly shamed and have to apologize to everyone, then not have her apology accepted. She get's the Kevin Hart treatment.

Just further evidence that the only way leftists can defend their absurd ideas is to cry racism.

This is what happens when a talkig point is pushed and pushed into the public sphere. White privilege doesn't exist.. it's now just a phrase people use on auto pilot to try and win arguments and make excuses. It's got to the point where idiots, like the CNN 'analyst' above, just trot it out without thinking because they think it claims some moral high ground.

Areva Martin needs to formally apologise not just for her idiocy, but also for abusing viewers by showing her face on TV and subjecting CNN's audience of 26 people to her voice.

She should stick with fighting autism. To think she graduated from Harvard is a stretch isn't it? But then again, look at the idiocracy being promoted at these ivy league schools.

I think it's always important that our country be honest about race, and also do our best to make race a non issue (unfortunately we've taken a step back the past decade).

That said, I think it is just as important we're honest about race being a cop out or fallacy instead of debate. Once a race card is dropped, sometimes the damage is done even if untrue.

The past few years we've seen it become politicized, and if we're being honest, against Republicans.

I remember when Bush was president, many accusations swirled that he was a racist, yet he had Condoleezza Rice as national security adviser through most of his first term, and secretary of state for the second. Colin Powell was his secretary of state for most of his first term. All described close relationships with one another.

When Trump was a Democrat, he and Jesse Jackson worked on programs together and at the time, Trump was touted as helping the black community in NYC.

I think it is also important our country remember the difference between racism and discrimination.

Racism is when someone believes in superiority in and against specific races.

Discrimination is treating someone differently because of race (or gender, creed, anything that makes them different).

Ironically the ones who cry racism the most are in fact the ones who treat people differently depending on their race.

CNN isn't aware that all races can experience "white privilege", including blacks.

Barack Obama was definitely afflicted, even served two terms as POTUS!

So... white privilege DOES exist?
Otherwise this whole commotion would be useless, because there would be nothing to commote about.

Yes, White Privilege seems to be for all. It's certainly an odd one.
Sounds like it might be a good thing if Black people can also use it to get ahead.

Education stopped being the purpose of colleges and universities long ago.

They're indoctrination centers. Being a good little parrot is the only requirement for getting a pretty piece of paper.

Some jump off the Gravy Train and begin building empires, others are content to be parasites and contribute nothing, waiting for their needs to be provided for free.

White privilege labels make the parasites feel better about themselves as they consume and provide little or nothing. The two different mindsets speak for themselves, and bear fruit or decay.

Yep. If he's a man who's gotten ahead in life and has conservative views, he must be white and therefore only got there because of his skin color ...

That was her assumption, and look what it made of her.

They don't have to apologize, just need to do better screening and preps beforehand, and verify with certainty race, ideology, politics, religion, toxic masculinity, etc so that it doesn't happen again, and that their target for hate is actually worthy of it.

Pure racism.

Now, we have a precedent already set for this, thanks to the situations surrounding people like Dwayne Chapman, Paula Deen, and Terry Bollea. Areva Martin should be forced to apologize publicly, fired from her position at CNN, and stripped of any honors or awards she has ever received for anything she has done. Any investments or assets of a public nature should also be confiscated for the public good, and she should be barred from ever appearing on a news show again.

Sucks when you get caught by your own rules, I guess...
