Calif. Women's March Cancelled For Being Too White

Organizers of the Women’s March in Humboldt County, California, announced Friday that they have canceled the local Jan. 19 event because the marchers are overwhelmingly white.

In a Facebook statement, the group said it opted to nix the third annual march “after many conversations between local social-change organizations and supporters of the march,” saying they would work on how to “broaden representation in the organizing committee.”

“Up to this point, the participants have been overwhelmingly white, lacking representation from several perspectives in our community,” said the statement. “Instead of pushing forward with crucial voices absent, the organizing team will take time for more outreach.”

I would think they would just be happy that any woman of any color would want to join them. This seems absurd. This isn't logical. It's a women's march, not a race march correct?

Well, scientifically speaking...and don't quote me on this, but...

Our gov is comprised of puke and poo.
Everyone focuses on the poo, then the puke wrecks the carpet.
A steady supply of poo is then needed to cover the puke smell.

What happened was that they were trying to reach out to other members of the (mostly White) community. The organizers themselves felt they did a poor job of it (they weren't getting much response) and decided to cancel. There might have been other issues... they didn't say (I did read the Facebook pages and it seemed to be a small group doing this.)

Now... they are wiling to support others who want to step up and do it. Locals are disappointed that they may have to drive a distance to get to another march.

This kind of check and balance is useful; at least one march was infiltrated by a group of anti-Jewish organizers and things didn't go well.
