That's a lot of calories for a small snack.

210 calories is totally a snack.

If not my dates better quit bitching when I buy them beer for dinner.

When I am looking at around 1400 calories a day and usually eat closer to 1200, a 200 calorie snack takes up a lot of space when I like breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Fair enough, I was joking, props to staying in good health though.

I probably do 2500-3000, but I'm 220.

Eh, you're also probable a man. They get to eat more.

Husband and I are doing this together and his calorie allotment is way higher than mine. But the catch is that the more weight I lose, the lower my calories per day go too. I am closing in on my goal, and one day, I'll feel like a pig again because I'll get to go back up to a maintenance target.

It's not that these are unhealthy. They aren't. The biggest problem I see with them is that they might have enough sugar in them to spike your blood sugar and make you hungrier sooner than some other things you could eat, but without really looking at the ingredients, I wouldn't know for sure. I just know that I do better with less sweet and more protein personally. Every person is actually different.

Let me guess: They are quite sweet to the taste, right?

Only in the eyes of the government for selective service and tax time.

It's been a long, slow process of making little changes over a lot of years really. We've only gotten aggressive about it over the past year. But really this is the end result of small lifestyle and diet changes we've made slowly over years, one at a time so that they weren't too drastic and become habits. Now that we're into the homestretch and the diet, we're eating almost all the same things we already were, we just had to tweak portions and sometimes the versions we were eating for the most part.

I'll be happy to be between 140 and 150 solidly. And I'm close. I could hit that range by spring.
