Babysteps I think. As I'm sure many on ATS would be able to explain better than I, this is clearly the first step of many to get guns removed from the population entirely, and its being accomplished by Republican President Trump no less. I never saw this coming in a million years....

Who knows if trump understands the gun grabbers goals

I just wish the Dems would be honest; they want almost all guns removed

So they get one area they want, bump stocks

This won’t for a minute satiate them, and probably will not prevent even one shooting

So it will be on to the next banning

I don’t mind bump stocks being banned, but don’t understand how it can be practically enofroced, as one can be made easily with common household products

But it’s the never ending drive for some to get rid of the 2nd amendment that makes me resist this

This is feel good legislation to satiate the ignorant masses.... won't do a damn thing to stop every day gun violence or mass shootings but it will make virtue signaling progressives happy.

This impacts my life zero percent. Not even sure if I could tell you what a bump stock is.

It needed to be banned, but you don't need a bumpstock to bump fire a gun, making a semiautomatic rifle fire like a fully automatic machine gun...



Throw in a crazy psychopath with this skill and a similar weapon and a crowd of potential victims and well, now we have to ban the gun too... Right?

Wouldn't make a difference if I did, that one has nearly 900k views, there are hundreds of other videos on how to use this method and others to bump fire guns.

Well color me shocked. Given the gun-toting armchair machismo of these threads and the reactionary "They are coming for our guns!" exclamations that we normally see, I would expect that this thread would be a rousing call for those "well regulated militias" to assemble and storm DC. But nope. Save for one or two comments, Trump is off limits. Just imagine if this was Hillary passing this. Hypocrisy will steal your credibility wholesale.
