So, Britain should adopt the US Constitution.
Or, the US should accept Parliament?

No no Phage. America as a subject of the Queen.

Australia has a governor general that can sack elected governments at a moment's notice. The queen did it in 1976 from memory.

Nothing would change except your government would have to behave.

Oh and adopt the queen's English too probably. (That wouldn't hurt)

You know Independence Day is called Sedition Day within some corridors of power.

I’m an American, the Queen can kiss off. We have had to fight them off twice. Both times it was more a stale mate than a win. With out the help of the French (1781) and the Pirates of New Orleans (1812) we may very well have lost. I haven’t forgiven the burning of the White House.

If the population of Great Britain doesn’t like their government then change it. I my even loan my cousins an evil black rifle or two, since they aren’t allowed to have anything more lethal than a cricket bat.

I could see offering the UK statehood. But I think they are too prideful to accept. I'm not sure they would appreciate some parts of our Constitution, or if they would want to give up the reigns so to speak. Ireland might want to be a separate state.

But I think if they did become a state or states, they would be welcome and would integrate well. The USA is a former colony, so we share the language and have a lot of common cultural heritage.

I think Canada would integrate well too, but they're so left-leaning and liberal I don't think they would want to either.

Mexico? Hell no. We have nothing in common with them. Trying to integrate with them opens the door to cartels, drugs, terrorism, and poverty. I would want the land, but not the people living on it. That's an ugly situation and we should just stay out.

lol... always thought the declaration of independence came first, it was just the announcement to great britain that we had enough of their crap and considered ourselves free from them.. the constitution came later, it formed our system of gov't and ensured our rights....
but ya, we should now all bow to the queen and become a member of the English commonwealth!!!
maybe she thinks england has enough money to pay off our debt for us???

We would be more than happy to welcome the prodigal son back in to the family fold.

Of course you'll have to learn to drive on the correct side of the road, stop mis-spelling and mis-pronouncing words and most importantly develop the ability to take the piss out of everything and anyone in any given situation whilst also being self-deprecating.

Oh, and realise that football is played with the feet and is not hand eggball and for something to qualify as The World Series other nations in the world have to compete.

There would be a clash of personalities between The Queen and Trump.

Who would win ?

Our drama queen would win, yours is too stoic.

*sigh*

I suppose it couldn't hurt to try.

We screwed things up here. Kind of like a kid returning home to live with their parents for a while.

"UK? You can rule over us just until we can get back on our feet and afford our own apartment. . . er. . . flat."

"'Kay?"

Yes, that would be a well overdue move. Americans drop their simplified English, and come back to English English. You could also remove that ridiculous pseudo monarch, the POTUS. Put a proper government in based around the Parliamentary system and hold your elected representatives to account.

Yes. I can see this working.

Well i suppose we are already heavily linked and in line with regards to defence, security and scientific research (especially military) - all of which are key components of the nation state. So it wouldn't be as greater stretch as you think.

That said, if our US cousins think of Hillary as a commie then you wouldn't be able to cope with comrades Corbyn and McDonnell!

Yes, a simple apology should work.

They could also stop making films about how Americans heroically captured an Enigma machine in WW2 when in fact this was accomplished by HMS Bulldog several months before the US actually entered the bloody war (etc).

A horrible idea. No Second amendment? Can't even own knives? Another 60 million dhimmikrat voters? No way.

Fine.

But I draw the line at "Jellied Eels".

LOL, I would say that applies to the English more than we Americans. Even most of your police aren't trusted to carry guns. As for knives, what happened then? Acid attacks iirc. I will bitterly cling to my guns thank you very much.

She fought Hitler.

Seriously she was part of the war effort involved with codes. And not just for photo ops.

The U.S. would save a few bob if we joined together.

They wouldn't have to pay Britain to rent Diego Garcia and Ascension Island for putting Military Facilities there.

Jobs a good 'un

United under the US' constitutional declaration of independence. Solidified by Britain's law and freedom. Finally joining America and Britain in an epic solidarity of which the world has never known...
