Sorry , the dems own obamacare top to bottom . No republican has a yes vote on the original law. That's where the nuclear option came from . The republicans also failed to repeal it and Trump is the one who used an EO to get rid of the penalty . Blame both parties for the mess we are in , just fix the damn thing .

Actually one republican did vote for it.
Just sayin....

The ACA got zero Republican votes.

Look it up.

Maybe you should look that up buddy.
one republican did vote yes on the original bill.

You made the claim. Name the Republican.

Not really, though it may have cost them more to maintain it.

Net result was that far more got coverage. Right?

Subsidized by other people. Oh, and it was unconstitutional.

But I guess if it made people feel better about themselves it was okay, huh?

Subsidized by other people.
That's pretty much how all insurance works. Innit?

Oh, and it was unconstitutional.
YTDB by SCOTUS.

It is when others go into the group voluntarily.

Obamacare was more like extortion. People didn't have a choice.

Actually I am wrong. Sorry about that, I was sitting here thinking that something doesn’t seem right so I looked it up. XUE was correct actually. Joseph Cao voted yes for the draft not the bill.
I stand corrected.

Obamacare Is the biggest scam of the 21st century so far. Any time you mandate that the entire population has to buy a product there is room for corruption.

well, it's nice to see the term facist being used correctly for a change!!!

only other comment I have, can't wait to see what the stock market does tomorrow!!!

will this blow it out of the water right away, or will they wait and hope that somehow, something comes along to save the healthcare system..

"the best system in the world" that no one can afford!!!

Cancer was covered prior.

Clarification required.
1) You could have obtained coverage at the rate you were paying if you had been diagnosed with cancer prior to coverage?
2) Your premium (or terms) would not change at any time if you had been been diagnosed with cancer after coverage?

That would have been an exceptional plan. I can see reason for your protestations to the ACA, but you would be in the minority in having such a policy.

My Dad had pancreatic cancer fought it for 3 years, every time they would switch a treatment it would take days or sometimes weeks to get it approved a brand new treatment could be a month. Most secondary needs for him wasn't covered we paid out of pocket to get the nutrition he needed to survive the treatments among other needed supplies and there are of course bills from the hospital that weren't covered. Not saying having insurance didnt help, but honestly the leftover bills are si staggering, basically doesnt matter anyway sucked up their life savings and pretty much a good chunk from his children as well. That just the financial toll.. We need real insurance reform, real healthcare reform . There is no good reason that gall bladder removal here is approximately $40,000 in Spain its $7000.

NO. The net result was higher prices with less coverage.

Obamacare Thrown Out by Judge, Raising Insurance Uncertainty

Obamacare was struck down by a Texas federal judge in a ruling that casts uncertainty on insurance coverage for millions of U.S. residents.

The decision Friday finding the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional comes just before the end of a six-week open enrollment period for the program in 2019 and underscores a divide between Republicans who have long sought to invalidate the law and Democrats who fought to keep it in place.

U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor in Fort Worth agreed with a coalition of Republican states led by Texas that he had to eviscerate the Affordable Care Act, the signature health-care overhaul by President Barack Obama, after Congress last year zeroed out a key provision -- the tax penalty for not complying with the requirement to buy insurance. The decision is almost certain to be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court.

We all saw this one coming. The moment the individual mandate was removed Obamacare became unconstitutional.

The left is going to have a massive apoplectic meltdown.

This is GREAT news for some. HORRIBLE news for others.

Our agency (Illinois) has been enrolling people in the newly created HHS/Trump Association-based health insurance plans like gangbusters since they were released to the general public on October 15th.

The poorer and/or sicker people have been enrolling and re-enrolling in ObamaCare since November 1st, when Open Enrollment started.

The state of Illinois passed an emergency rule this past Friday, joining 9 other states who have severely restricted the Association-based health plans, to make them almost useless. The goal was to force everyone to ObamaCare. (Illinois is run by crooked socialist dictators.)

ObamaCare Open Enrollment ends at Midnight tomorrow (12/15/2018).

What a mess!

Type it out, please. Anyways, SCOTUS also gave Slavery, Kelo and Citizens United the stamp of approval too. They make mistakes like every other human.

When a Federal Judge declares any of Trump Admin actions (DACA, Immigration, Terrorist related) as "unconstitutional", the activity/action must stop IMMEDIATELY.

How will today's ruling by the Federal Judge immediately affect this Obama Admin program?

Sorry , the dems own obamacare top to bottom .

Sorry, the ACA mandate is taken directly of the Heritage Foundation health care plan promoted by Republicans and Mitt Romney, during his presidential run against Obama.

americablog.com...

Ahh, so Obamacare is championed and hailed as great by the left...

Until it's rightfully struck down (overdue), then it's broken down into pieces by the left, that the Rs are supposed to own.

Never gets old -- the hypocrisy, that is!

And the guy from Heritage who wrote the HF plan offers a rebuttal: www.dailysignal.com...

It's not that the HF liked the idea of a mandate, it's that they are a think-tank are were reading the tea leaves of the Clinton agenda and tried to offer a more palatable approach. That doesn't mean they endorsed the idea.

Just curious but why do you feel that way?
Is it because it is a federal judge ruling or just your partisan belief system?
Either answer is fine but be honest.

YES! What a win. We don't need the poor, or the sick! Definitely not the poor people who are sick!

So there were no poor or sick people in the USA after o-care was reconciled? Amazing!

They're still here, they can just live longer if they get sick. For now.
