The Search For Napoleon Bonaparte's Lost Treasures and The Treasures Of Egypt

During the Egyptian Campaign in the late 18th Century, It is presumed Napoleon took many war prizes, Is it possible that some of those prizes never made it back to France, some lost on the trail or discarded by soldiers?

From my research it not only appears plausible but actually happened.

So what treasures are left, scattered From Memphis and all of Egypt into the Coast?

Are you aware of how that campaign ended?
Nelson smashed the French fleet at Aboukir.
Napoleon continued land campaigns for a while, but then slipped home in a single ship in order to take part in French politics.
The army he left behind in Egypt surrendered to the British in 1801.
How many war-prizes do you think there were?

Possibly Hundreds from Memphis up the Nile, then East into the sea.

Looks like the Rosetta Stone was one of those Items

The french moved all antiquities to Cairo. The British sweep in take them and they were transferred to the British Museum. In other words Napoleon didnt get anything out the country other than manuscripts.
