Please address the redirects ATS

Alright, the bottom ads are annoying but bearable.

I understand this is a business, but more importantly a community.

I don't put an ad blocker on for this site even with the bottom ads because I want to support it.

But the redirects are something I don't accept. Aside from them being sketchy, it has happened when I'm doing a mobile response, making me lose everything I've typed. So I have to redo it all.




You can't even hit back, you have to kill the tab.

$$$ speaks louder than you do, unfortunately. I have seen many complaints over the years on here. Not one has ever been resolved.

Its only started for me around a week ago.

Ads here and there, which is fine.

Redirects are not cool though, completely hijacks my browser..

And it's annoying for other sites. But when you're typing a few paragraph response to someone and it happens it's beyond annoying.

Really don't like the redirects.. I do notice if you hit the back button 3 times quickly, right when it happens, that you can usually get back to where you were. It'll save the reply too, but you have to click "Reply" again.

Have no issue with the other ads, I've "always" had them here anyway. But, I do think the one at the bottom should scale.

Sadly you’ll get 3 kinds of responses in this thread.

Effected members will explain their frustration and tell you that the mods won’t be much help, they may mention ad blockers but there post will then be removed.

None effected members will tell you that because it’s not happening to every single person, it must be your fault and your doing something wrong on your end. Stop complaining and the fact that your asking for help means your to lazy to figure it out yourself.

Mods will come in and direct you to post in a 10 year old dead thread and then close this one.


As a previously effected member, I can tell you the unmentionable solution is the best route.

Getting occasional redirects on a PC too.

Oh I agree. There has to be something that can be done about it.

Try deleting your cookies and browsing data for this site. (Edit: you might need to re-enter login, so make sure you don’t forget). I’m not getting these redirects.

Yep, it's getting ridiculous. Even that which cannot be mentioned wouldn't help on my tablets, so I no longer view ATS from them. It's still semi tolerable on my phones but noticeably worse lately. I rarely use a p.c. anymore so not sure there.

Hopefully something is done. I'm okay with ads but but if the redirects continue I'm out. Only on this site, as I've seen so many others say...

All the typical stuff, like deleting cookies, doesn't do anything for it.

It's not cookies; you're not getting them because you're blocking them. Which is incredibly difficult to do on mobile as mobile browsers don't have plugins.

Browsing on PC is cinche, browsing on a mobile is impossible now.

At least the little pop-up sticker type ads are finally gone today.

Ok, yes I have pop-ups blocked. I use mobile safari and there is such an option. There might be such an option in your own browser.

Did you notice that address was from Walmart? THEY'RE EVERYWHERES I TELLS YA!

Settings > Site settings > Pop-ups in Chrome. It’s not ad blocking.

Pop up blocker in Chrome doesn't help either. I have mine turned on, but it floods redirects until one gets through.

Seems to block 3-5 before folding.

ATS is really missing the monetary mark here,
