Here's my Sunday! Lovely day on tap. Keep in mind this is 2pm in the afternoon. Right now, major interstates all over the metro are being shut down. Looking out, you can barely see three houses along the street.

They've been eyeballing this since Tuesday believe it or not, but given that's only November, no one really wanted to believe we'd get nailed like this. It's a good thing I keep my ear to the ground when it comes to weather. We had all our shopping done and our hatches battened on Friday so we could enjoy our day with family yesterday, and everyone got home safe and sound by midnight last night.

Would hope not since nothing about this really looks black to me.

Geez, I can almost imagine the cute little street that it is.

Now, you all keep that stuff there!

We don't savvy none of that down here!

Truly, stay warm and safe! Those iced over power lines and all...

That glow in the second picture is a snow sprite, in case anyone is curious.

Man, our Lawrence, KS system is just getting hammered today. Started out slow this morning but this afternoon is crazy. Commercial power outages all over the place and 1000's of customers down. This sucks.

Wow that's crazy.
I could never deal with snow like that.

At the same time it's 77 Fahrenheit, and raining here in florida.

I just sharpened two of them. Those are straight as you see them, no black and white. That's why I mentioned 2 in the afternoon.

It's just really cold.

In case anyone is curious, the three houses in the bottom are, from left to right - country blue, peachy beige, and the one you can barely see is a red brick.

Eeep! After several days of us going through whiteouts, high winds, and heavy snow a couple weeks or so ago, we're sunny and temp is back up to hovering around -5 C in Alberta. I feel for ya. It's practically balmy here, hah.

Be safe and stay warm. We've had some very dangerous car accidents due to freezing rain conditions here and even had two train engines derail right in town because of ice buildup on the tracks.

I knew something was coming, because of some serious aches and pains. The whole "hip telling the weather" is absolutely a thing, and it sucks!

I think when storms like this happen sporadically, its kinda fun. Where I used to live, it looked like that about every 2-3 days and with much more snow. That got real old, real quick.

Looks like a good time for some hot chocolate, sledding, and some snow forts
