Earrings are like underwear - you buy 'em, you keep 'em.

No return policy.

So you have to use your imagination a bit.

I personally will never wear an earring or get any piercings. I don't even want a tattoo.

It all seems rather bizarre to me. Strange human desires...

Somebody asked earlier - what did I expect?

A little bit of fun and entertainment.

I am thinking of these things, but I also realize - it's not the most important thing on earth.

Not faking - going through all my earrings.

What did you expect - you're speaking to a tribal representative of the Germanic people.

Not a nationalist one, but a real tribal exemplar.

And yeah, our tribes wore that.

To each their own...

I have about 1/2 ounce of Tribal black in my skin now, from upper right shoulder to right ankle, down my whole right side.

It's a life story that I add to sometimes.

5 piercings, but nothing flashy. I used to have 8 but got rid of the tongue one because it cost me $200 to do and then cost me about $800 in dental work over two years. (lessons learned!)

The other two I got rid of I will leave to your imagination.

I think a guy with a single earring has a +1 to sexy, if it's done right. (I agree with the the other poster, I don't understand the loops/hoops things because I find them disgusting.)

To the OP, I see nothing wrong with them at all. It's just an accessory.

You don't want pierced later, it's just a hole.. it will heal.

Nah to my mind and I am a bit old fashioned here, Earring's are for Lady's.
Unless Ye be a Pirate Me Hearty har.
Then you need a suitable tricorn hat and a stuffed shoulder mounted parrot to go with them.

But each to his own I guess, not my cup of tea though.

Then again I did like Neil's forehead stud's.

Earrings are beyond me. Like video games I guess.

I missed out, came close in the 80's but just couldn't do it.

I guess I'm just a old man who just doesn't get it.

Either way I personally just don't find guy's attractive, if I ever did I would be very uncomfortable with myself.
I am not a lecher by any mean's but do notice when an attractive lady passes by, these day's if they are under thirty I internally tell myself off though.
(and also if they have a ring on).

All I was trying to say is that it is possible that men wear earrings to be a little sexier to the opposite sex.

You are not the opposite sex, so your opinion on men wearing earrings doesn't actually matter.

They are not wearing them to attract you.

They are not attracted to you either.

It's a cultural thing as well, I am old British but in other part's of the world people have different cultures such as in Japan were male jewelry and even long manicured finger nails' on men is a bit more common.
Just like I say I am a little old fashioned (like Victorian old fashioned in some way's).
This made me chuckle though like I say I am British (but not in common with the modern culture here in which I feel out of my depth).

Perhaps I'm just very gender-fluid.

I wasn't thinking that at the beginning, but flip, those fish earrings suit me.

I could be a perfect secretary.

Stylish up front, yet if anybody bothers the boss, I can kick their ass out.

Well...here's my take as a guy who wore a hoop earring or a gold or diamond stud...

If you like it, and you wear it. That's awesome for you. If you are worried about what other people think about it, then it's certainly NOT something you should do. Wear your jewelry for you. People will always be snide about your choice of watch, or sweater or shoes or belt or trousers or shirt. Who the F cares? If you care what they think, then you need a shot of confidence right in the keister.

They're fish earrings, I don't think they suit anyone lol.

But about what you said, that you think you're gender fluid - I disagree.

In society we are taught "Gender Biases", which the details vary from culture to culture.

The fact that gender roles can be switched from culture to culture and no one in a culture is alarmed when the females are doing something males do in another culture should tell you that "gender norms" are completely fabricated in our imaginations.

What is an earring? Some metal or plastic and a gem?

It's like cigarettes - it's just tobacco rolled up in paper with a filter but with the magic bs of "marketing" and creativity - we can invent "Virginia Slims" which is a chick's cigarette (designed to make women think it helps with weight-loss) and if a guy buys them all the time ppl will think he's weird.

But in reality it is the exact same as any other brand of cig. It was all from bs and imagination, the dynamics of culture.

The only gender reality is genetic and biological.

Everything else, our clothing or our behaviors, all this material stuff and our wacky ideas - do not possess gender at all and are neutral.

All the 'stuff' is inanimate objects and all our 'ideas' are delusions.

So the point is that we are all "brainwashed" and chained to these concepts we have - such as gender biases.

Your fascination with the earrings is actually just a fleeting whim (and possibly subliminally inspired by the massive advert campaign by jewellers this holiday season).

99.9% of what we associated with "gender identity" and created biases for is inaccurate and not fact.

Not sure if I can say it like this: but just like you know people are multi-cultured, I'm multi-gendered.

I'm not confused - I know I'm male.

But I must interrogate every day, what does it mean: to be "male"?
