Earrings for men.

So we were going through the church market - I guess for Christmas.

And I finally saw the earrings I liked.
The one pair was like a silver feather, and the other pair was even longer with jade through it.

But mum said, forget it, you'll never wear it.
That's for women.

I thought at least on one side it could look pretty tribal, not trying to change gender here or anything.
I mean my ancestors at some point all wore them.

But what about the antique fish earrings you have in the cupboard?
They come from the 1920's - made of three parts and it glimmers down your ear.

I should actually wear them, or on one side.

Does it look silly?

Again, to me it just symbolizes Pisces, or the astrological fish.

But other people see this as the feminization of the male and the end of civilization as we know it.

But not in all cultures ...

Apparently there's a tradition of sailors wearing one ear-ring. I used to have a boss who had been to sea.
You need to greet people with "Ahoy, there!", pretend an interest in knowing which direction the wind is coming from, and say "Let's splice the mainbrace" as you drink your glass of rum.

Oh it's a long story, me wanting to have earrings.

But it never went much further than that.

Nowadays, I can't grow my hair back, but that pendulum on my shoulder reminds me of the 1980's.

How bout a close up of the earring? Vintage jewelry is pretty cool.

When Gary Numan's "Cars" video came out people freaked out because he wore an earring. The world didn't end.

Yes, looks silly.

Though to be honest, earrings on men look silly to me. Piercings even worse.....

Like little baby staple faces.

I wear an earring in each ear.
Large, gotti, diamond studs.

I personally don't like it. I think your mom was right, wearing ladies earrings makes you look like a lady. I'm sorry but I don't know what else to say.

The world is being taken over by nefarious people and it's being allowed to happen because of effeminate males who don't have the balls to fight the importance fights and yeah... Sorry man.

I think you wear them well. If you feel a mirth spirit wearing them, then I say go for it. There are those in the world that will tend to characterise any man wearing two earrings -- especially dangling earrings -- as the feminine side of men. I don't make such judgments and don't want them pointed at me either. I will wear what I feel like.

I wear a single earring now and then. I would wear two if I wanted. You should wear what makes you feel right.

I dunno, I don't prefer the fish. My sign is Aquarius so what type of ear ring would I choose?

If you like it then it works, I think with a lot of things, if it makes you feel good, it looks good and comes across that way...

I guess nobody can stop you from wearing anything.

Boxing class - well earrings you can take out and put back in.

The earrings I wanted from the church market.
Closed tomorrow (Sunday - duh), but early next week - I want those earrings.
I'm gonna own those earrings.
