I wish that all of the people who are so opposed to oil put thier money where their mouth is.

Just ban anything made from oil products.

You know, like the device you are using to post right now.

ETA: Ironically, I am posting this on my phone while on a wellsite in North Dakota.

The clean energy push is just a pipe dream at this point.
Solar and wind are not capable of making enough energy to replace fossil fuels.
Nuclear is the boogeyman. Boo!

I do love the argument "spend more on research"
That's done wonders for cancer cures, or ALS or insert disease here.

Are you sure they don't have a cure? A cure and letting it known there is a cure don't always go together.

Not to disagree with you on any point but solar and wind are not viable YET. People said gas powered engines were not viable compared to horses for a long time. Fire arms did not replace the bow and arrow for hundreds of years, we are not there yet but I would love to see more money invested on this research. Oil is finite the suns energy is not (to our view of time). I guess what I want to get across is it is not a pipe dream and what will we do when it is all gone?

A for-profit heath care industry has no use for cures.
A for-profit oil industry that already has the gov't in it's pocket and stands to be left in the dust will stand in the way of research for as long as it possibly can... humanity be damned.
Who are you fighting for? Cause the oil companies don't need your help.

I see. I misunderstood and thought you meant pipedream as in due to unnamed factors it was an impossibility.

They're talking out of their asses in this, the latest in a never ending string of attempts to again reduce Alaska taxes and fees on oil recovery operations. We've been watching this nonsense for years here.

I can see how you would like to see more oil production in Alaska.

Bummer about the low oil prices lately.
