Some thoughts:
1. In this case, ICE seems to be acting more in the interests of private prisons/contractors than our security. Business is a-booming.
2. Evangelicals have long had a heart for persecuted Christians around the globe. I hope this news spreads to their circles. The Chaldean Catholics
detained have grim prospects if they're deported.
The spin has been that jihadi Muslims are beating at our doors. This shows that no, some of these Iraqi refugees are Christians. I say let *all*
refugees in. I explained above how I want evangelicals in particular to catch wind of this. Might open some minds.
Hi, everyone. I get that I'm for more open immigration, and many of you are not. That's cool. I think the religious groups harmed in this deception
are interesting in that it breaks the stereotype. I understand that several of you feel that it might be wrong to point that out.
The substance of the article though is that ICE was acting illegally to prolong detention. Left or right, that's some bad juju.
