It never ends. Perpetual campaigning. Just for kicks, at this early date, who do you think the Trump challenger will be in 2020?

I like this guy: Richard Ojeda running in 2020
"Ojeda, a West Virginia state senator and retired U.S. Army major, lost his congressional bid in the state’s 3rd District on Tuesday, but saw the largest swing of Trump voters toward Democrats in any district around the country — overperforming 2016 by more than 35 points...His authority — and one of his greatest liabilities — would come, in part, from his own previous support of Trump in the 2016 general election. After backing Sen. Bernie Sanders in the primary, Ojeda refused to support Hillary Clinton, seeing her as an embodiment of the party’s drift toward the elite."

My bet, though, is that after Hillary is persuaded to stay home, and a flashy Beto O'Rourke phase, and Bernie getting shafted again, it will be Joe Kennedy.

Ojeda ran a great campaign against the incumbent corporate shill Republican Carol Miller. He ran in a deep Red part of WV and came damn close to beating that corporate shill. His campaign ads are the best!

He used to be a Trump supporter.

So you are saying that Democrats would support a Vet as a Presidential candidate?

Last one that had any sort of service record was Jimmy Carter.

I would think you would lose half your base... the alt-left part.

Wish him luck!

And a little more about Ojeda.

www.wsaz.com...

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man who pleaded guilty to beating a West Virginia senator just days before the primary election last year could spend as long as five years in prison.

Only up to five years for beating up a candidate running for the State Senate.
Well that is information that could come in handy someday.

The reason he won is because West Virginia is a Democratic State. Owned by the Democratic Party for quite a while now.

Obama lost the state. Trump retained it. West Virginia doesn't have the coal industry because of Obama. Trump promised to bring it back. He hasn't, yet. But the steel mills are starting up again, that could turn West Virginia True Blue because to make good steel you need some good coal. If coal doesn't come back before the next election I predict Trump will lose West Virginia.

Thank you for the videos!

I wouldn't mind hearing him in soundbites on NPR for 4-8 years. The more I read about him, the more I like him.

That's interesting. I don't know of any Dem anti-veteran bias. But I also don't know many prominent Dems who are veterans. Tammi Duckworth...

I'd vote for a Dem veteran over a Dem "businessman" any day of the week.

Might lose the alt left, but might gain the independents.

You right wingers sure do live in a different world than the rest of us. Would you really be surprised that Democrats support the troops? Is that even really a question?

Current POTUS ran from the military, war and now a days attacks Gold Star families and war veterans. What a guy.

Anyway, any party would love to have Ojeda because he's a fighter and talks policy I can get behind. If this dude were a Republican I'd vote for him in two seconds as he is now.

Trump will win in 2020 so it really doesn’t matter who runs against him, although, it would be more entertaining if Hillary ran against him. I honestly don’t think the Dems can get her to go away. She is like a bad rash and just keeps coming back to annoy.

Actually, Trump told a reporter at that last big Presser that he would be running. When asked if Pence would be his VP again, Trump turned and asked Pence if he wanted to run as his VP in 2020. Pence said he definitely would.

So, I am pretty sure Trump and Pence will be running for re-election in 2020...unless one or the other suffers some great calamity before then.

I'm going to vote for the person who will lower my taxes, shrink government, take care of our vets, secure the border.

Or at the very least, the person who gets closest to the things I would like.

Don't care what party, don't care what race, religion or gender.

Ojeda 2020. I hope he beats Hillary, Bernie, Beto, Warren, Biden, Booker, Harris, Brown, Gillbrand and anyone else before delivering the smackdown on Trump in that "good 'ol boy" kinda way.

The alt-left makes up more than half the democrat base!

Don't believe me?

Put a MAGA hat on and walk around Portland or Seattle for a week.

Why not? A lot of us voted for Democrat vets (who usually run on something more than "I'm a veteran!") The ones already in place have pushed back against Trump's veteran policies

Here's more about a different group of Democrats who are veterans

I believe that all the women veterans in Congress are Democrats.
