CNN sues President Trump and top White House aides for barring Jim Acosta

This isn't even truly freedom of the press. Acosta can still report whatever he wants. He just isn't being given access to the White House press pool to ask direct questions of the president.

Here's the fun part: Judge Kelly is hearing the request for an injunction tomorrow at 3:30. Several people are expecting him to grant it. The trick is, in order to get an injunction, the plaintiff must show evidence that not granting the injunction would cause irreparable harm.

The only way to show that would be to show that CNN would be unable to report the news if Jim Acosta came down with an illness! All that Trump's lawyers have to do is show CNN does not have a multi-million-dollar life insurance policy on him.

This is gonna be sooooo good.

No. I get that. Acosta is an ass and revoking his pass is long overdue. Where he finally lost their patience is when he allowed his douchery to spill over on to that intern. Up to that point, they'd been remarkably tolerant of his bad behavior.

But all the people screaming about how this endangers freedom of the press don't understand that Acosta is in no way impeded from reporting as he likes. The only aspect of his work that changed is his level of access. It's the same as having a source suddenly cut a reporter out because the reporter burned them on something. It's not like the reporter has any right to that source any longer.

Actually CNN reporting is starting to look a lot like 1930's Germany.

This constant bashing and no reporting has got to be getting old. And Fox for constant defending him is just as old.

Acosta pressed a bit hard but trump and their administration whole heartedly overreacted.

A sad day when you all are rooting for a reporter who presses hard to be barred from the White House.

Stop lying. Acosta was called on by Trump. He did not press hard. He was grandstanding. Last I checked Obama kicked someone out for merely saying something out of turn, they did not keep doing it, and Democrats and the press even cheered it on.
