have you heard of a President traveling 2.5 hours by motorcade? Lets be honest. You'd have given him flak for all the traffic if he had.

Oh now the French are brave lol.. Are these the same people that rolled over for the Nazis and we had to come along and give them their country back? The French! LOL
President Donald Trump, during a visit to Paris for Bastille Day, said, "France is America's oldest ally. A lot of people don't know that,” and added, “France helped us secure our independence, a lot of people forget.”
Our problem is not that we have forgotten France’s aid, without which the Revolution might not have been won at all, or not been won by 1783; it is that we are too beholden to our own myths to accept and appreciate how much we owe to outside assistance.
Riiight, I'm not the one crying about POTUS and no, I don't know your BF ted, keep that to yourself.

Spoken like a troll who never served. Is this you ted? Don’t be upset that I turned you down on your last so called tour. Emotionally unhinged, lol. Don’t hate on me because you can’t garner an original thought. And by all means, keep pissing on a thread that’s about dead veterans, more specifically world war veterans. And the utter disrespect the orange ooompa looompa showed over the weekend.

You guys are pathetic! Not standing for the national anthem is a legal form of peaceful protest, which is a First Amendment right. It's exercising our constitutional right to make a peaceful statement. There's a long history of sports figures doing so!
It's rather alarming considering conservatives always stood on the side of less government control. Instead, you're standing by a President who not only wants to control a constitutional right of a free press, but also the rights of Americans to peacefully protest. If that isn't hypocritical enough, conservatives claim to have the moral high ground, yet stand by a president who belittles, name calls, lies, and separates migrant children from their parents at the border. If you think that's so christian like, ask yourself would Jesus Christ himself act in this way? I think not.
You Trump supporters want Americans to become passive and afraid to speak-up to our government leaders and representatives! This is exactly why the people of tyrannical governments have fear to express themselves and protest. A government that doesn't protect their people from peaceful protests or allows free expression is simply govern by a dictatorship. A president or representative is no better than the citizens he or she represents. Yet this president is firing and re-placing an attorney general to help him from being prosecuted and to derail a legal investigation into government corruption. What American citizen would be allowed to do such a thing? He's not above the law, yet he can manipulate the legal system for his own protection! Conservatives should be ashamed of themselves for supporting a president who has shown himself to be a wannabe dictator. I always thought both Dems and Repubs would hold up their oath of office "to protect support and defend the Constitution of the United States." Unfortunately, it seems like party is much more important than country.
Here you go, educate yourself on past national anthem protests...
U.S. National Anthem Protests
Once again, twice in three days to be exact, the occupier of the White House failed to honor America’s war dead. I realize the right wingers won’t care as they only listen to what he says, and pay no attention to what he does, or in this case, doesn’t do.

It’s amazing to see just how far the right has sunk. I remember a time when placing the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier was a big deal. Didn’t matter who was the president was.
I would like to take a moment to thank the French contingency who showed so much respect by laying the wreath instead.
Did tRump even take the the time to tweet about it? Or did he just offer up discounts on his made in china crap? On second thought I’m glad he didn’t desecrate that sacred place. Who wants a draft dodger in their presence anyway?

Yeh those French.
Few Want to Admit It, but the French Saved America During the Revolution

People also paid to see the '68 Olympic athletes perform. There were black power salutes while standing on the medal podium during the national anthem! Happened in front of people who were in attendance from other competing countries. So really your point is mute.
