Thanks for the update didn't get to check the specific news yet. This is horrifying, also may show preparation in some places is extremely underestimated. No way out, I'm in a place like that, but at least have a water and boat escape.

The MAFFS units were mobilizing the other day and started assisting with fighting the fires yesterday or the day before as well.

The worst part is the thought of all those elderly and/or infirm who would not, or, too horrible to contemplate, could not get out of their homes before the fire swept over them.

ETA: Reports day that 25% of the population of Paradise were 65 years old or older, and approximately 20% of the population was disabled or infirm. Many could not drive.

Most of the dead found so far were found in their homes.

That does not bode well.

I’m dreading the reports yet to come.
