When a product is poorly designed or manufactured, either by ignorance, carelessness, or greed and ends up maiming or even killing someone or many people, the manufacturer is held liable in most cases. They can be fined or even imprisoned for gross negligence. I think its time the manufacturers of these defective and damaged humans were held responsible for their reckless and selfish actions that created them.
Another human being is potentially the most dangerous and destructive thing someone can create. If a person is not going to take that responsibility seriously they are putting society at risk and should suffer the consequences if their creation malfunctions.
Yes folks, I'm not talking about gun control I'm talking about birth control. How many people would think twice about popping out a kid if they knew they could be held liable for their crappy parenting? Would we still have multi-generational gangbanger families if they could potentially go to jail if junior robs that liquor store and shoots the clerk?
Guns have been around for generations, why is it suddenly a crisis in this generation? Because society is broken. Irresponsible procreation has created this environment, not guns. If you're not going to take seriously your responsibility for raising your kid right, you should not have the right to create them.

So in your head gun manufacturers create criminals? This just makes no sense to me. Someone could use bare hands/knife/hammer/whatever is close at hand to kill someone. Doesn't have to be a fire arm. You imo are part of the problem that leads to gun violence.

You gonna apply that "logic" to cars too? GM and Ford have killed far more peeps.

Deceptive advertising, but it is true. So many people just let kids do what they want. I blame the ease of divorce on that. Since I was a teen, I always noticed that young men with no father because of divorce were always messed up and getting in trouble. I am sure there are exceptions but that seems to be the rule.

if you don't blame alcohol manufactures for drunk drivers, or people that drink themselves to death, why do you blame the gun manufactures when people shot others?

do you blame big pharma for overdoses, why do you blame the gun manufactures when people shot others?

How about knife manufacturers for knife murders, why do you blame the gun manufactures when people shot others?

Car manufactures for car crashes, or terrorist attacks, why do you blame the gun manufactures when people shot others?

Do you blame the knife, fork, spoon, plate, or cooking ware manufactures for all the fat people?

IF you answer "no" to the above, why do you blame gun manufactures?

You almost got me...almost.

I'm still going to answer the question in your title anyhow: We will hold the manufacturers responsible when we, as a human race, have completely given up on personal responsibility.

I hope that day never comes, but I am fearful with the way that things are going in certain spheres of influence.

I wish that the world were perfect, but we will always have sh*tty parents, and we will always have sh*tty/crazy people in this world intent on harming others.

Many of us have long tied gun violence (specifically urban gun violence) to the breakdown of the family and single mothers...

I've always believed the only way to stop it / fix it is to figure out how to reduce hoodrat single mothers...

As much as I agree to a point sometimes you simply get a defective kid... and since you’re not allowed to “post birth abort” them in some cases there’s only so much you can do...

Doctors say “well pill them up that’ll fix everything” and for the most part that just makes it worse... generally speaking also almost always a common denominator in these events...

So, today I'm guessing that you're more "420" and less "cognizant?" LOL

You may want to re-read the OP...or read it for the first time...before calling others "part of the problem."

I wholeheartedly agree with your OP. Well said but a poor thread title I must say. Let’s see how many people don’t read the whole post and just comment.

But really though very good thread

I watched as one of those defective types was using a leaf blower to clear a driveway. You heard that line.....you dont pee in the wind? Well if nothing else....it was 30 minutes of pointing and laughing. I wouldnt want this person operating a firearm.

This just makes no sense to me.

That's obvious. The idea proposed has nothing to do with gun manufacturers. He's talking about deadbeat parents
not raising their children properly and holding them accountable for their children's actions.
