That's not to say he shouldn't be questioned about stuff, they all should, but it seems to me that there is a portion of the press that would find something wrong with whatever he did and while they are entitled to do that, they also have a responsibility to pass the mic on when the president has batted aside their attack on him.

Absolutely, and that's why Jim Acosta is no longer welcome in the White House.

If asking tough questions was a problem, the press room would be permanently empty.

That wasn't the problem.

Trump actually called on Acosta to ask his question.

Acosta was in possession of the microphone, he had the floor and was in midsentence, his focus on the president, when he was aggressively assaulted by a staffer.

Were you born yesterday? Is this your first rodeo? Have you never seen a press conference where reporters keep asking questions, and followup questions and challenge the president after he didn't answer their question? This wasn't even as an unruly presser, like the ones Sarah Sanders typically holds.

Trump didn't have to call on Acosta. He didn't have to mock and interupt him before he was able to get his first question out, that Trump didn't answer. Trump didn't have to go out of his way to insult and pick a fight with Acosta. Trump didn't have to call CNN and Acosta personally "Enemy of the People", when asked about CNN being the target of bombs, as if they deserved the terror threat.

But yeah, let's let the White House assault Acosta and CNN, and then revoke their credentials based on libelous claims. It's a sad day when reporters are held to a higher standard than White House staffers, the White House Press Secretary and the President himslef.

So you don't support Trump despite his past behavior towards women? I could have sworn you looked past those women accusing him of barging in on them half naked, but I suppose you are a dirty leftist now.

If all else fails feign ignorance. You're a Trump supporter despite him basically violating the privacy of women and teen girls on multiple occasions. You can't possibly deny that can you?

False. Trump said that is enough and turned his attention away BEFORE Acosta kept speaking. Stop lying. It is not the Acosta conference. He does not get to keep speaking as long as he wants. Acosta got his turn and then some. Trump answered and moved on, Acosta refused to stop after his turn was over.

No one assaulted anyone. To say otherwise is delusional.

It's ridiculous that we're even having this bogus conversation to begin with. This is the kind of crap ATS has been wrapped up in for 2+ years now, BS subjective crap facilitated by the propaganda pushing media.

It's an assault. Should it be prosecuted? No, and I never said it should. Him losing credentials is the perfect outcome.

There is a difference in whether something is an assault and whether something should be prosecuted. It should absolutely not be prosecuted.

We gonna have to agree to disagree on it being assault..I don't have an issue with Acosta being shown the door.

Would it hold up in court as assault? Nope. They'd throw it out like it was a joke. If it shouldn't be prosecuted then how can you possibly call it assault? You don't sound very confident in your accusation.

It would hold up in court as an assault. It would be a misdemeanor. Depending on the state raising your fist is an assault if the person believed you were going to strike them, and it would hold up in court.

Go sell your poorly spun yarns elsewhee.
Choose someone else to tell your tall tales to.
You are exposed as no more than a common liar.

I addressed trumps behavior; you chose to tell lies.

Look at what misdemeanor assault is, it actually doesn't take much for it to be assault depending on the state and the law. Iy can be assault without any contact whatsoever even.

False. Trump said that is enough and turned his attention away BEFORE Acosta kept speaking.

So what? And yet he persisted, and Trump continued to engage him.

Stop lying.

Video evidence shows you're the liar. Acosta was rebuffed, yet Trump continued to engage him, as is often the case in these pressers. When Trump told him to "put down the microphone", Acosta allowed the staffer to rudely rip if from his hand. (Did you see that?) Nothing unusual about the way Acosta behaved, or Peter Thiel, who played keep the microphone from the staffer too, (Did you see that? LOL) or April Ryan's questions nor was Yamiche Alcindor's question racist.

Trump was in a snit and took it out on reporters. Acosta was doing what he gets paid for, to ask controversial questions and hold the President's feet to the fire.

She certainly "assaulted" Acosta with much more force than they're accusing Acosta of using.

so to sum up.

- acosta didnt assualt this woman. people are blowing it out of proportion

- the media are hypocrites, as they screamed lewandowski assualted a woman when he grabbed her arm

- the video was not doctored as cnn claims, it had slight compression issues, and so they lied.

- the fact that cnn and other media felt the need to claim the vidoe sanders tweeted was doctored must mean they think the video sanders tweeted shows acosta doing something bad (though i disagree)

- acosta deserved to have his pass revoked for his actions, though i dont think his arm touching this womans was one of them
