Mass shooting reported at Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, authorities say

Location is the Borderline Bar & Grill, Thousand Oaks, California. Some sort of country line dancing thing going there tonight. Shooter has apparently not been apprehended. No word on casualties.

A mass shooting at a Thousand Oaks restaurant took place Wednesday night.


Police received calls at around 11:15 p.m. about a shooting where multiple victims were hurt at Borderline Bar & Grill on 99 Rolling Oaks Dr.

An officer was down and unresponsive and trial of blood was visible on the street.

Looks like it's "College Country Night" according to the bar's website.

Several people, including one officer, have reportedly been injured in a bar shooting in Thousand Oaks, California. A massive police presence is reported at the scene.
Unconfirmed reports say the shooter is still at large and that police are still working to secure the scene at the Borderline Bar & Grill.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say this shooting was in response to the midterm results, a lot of these shootings seem to be political motivated lately, but I could be wrong.

Probably because you're not violently insane.

Who knows how much of this will turn out to be accurate but they're saying the description of the shooter is man dressed in black, with a long beard and wearing a beanie. The one apparent witness said he walked up to the bar, shot the security guy out front and then entered and tossed some sort of smoke bomb.

They just showed a wounded kid on a gurney, clutching his abdomen. Looks like the place was indeed filled with college kids.

They aren't moving with any sort of expedience. Not sure if that's good or bad.

They're walking in the front door now, fairly nonchalantly. I'm guessing the shooter has been neutralized.

They are opining that the body out front is the shooter.

This interview with this man about the Thousand Oaks shooting is incredibly, incredibly sad: "I should have stayed. ... I'm 55. They're young. I should've stayed until he changed his clip. ... I'm so sorry. ... It still feels like I didn't do what I should've done."

Or somebody who was shot at the entrance/inside and made it that far and collapsed.
