So, let's say no one is running for a really odd position in my county. Something like "River and Soil Conservation District Supervisor."

I have about 10-15 friends who have written me in for this position. Can I actually win that? I'm not entirely certain how that would work.

Did you start this thread to actually ask the question, or to just brag......Mister I have 15 friends...

As far as the position goes, I'm guessing there may have to have been some paperwork involved to run. So that might be how they could deny you the position.

Legitimately asking the question, LOL. I don't want the job and will certainly turn it down, but I also don't want my name broadcast on the news.

You in witsec or something?

If you don't want it, why would they write you in?

Around here they even run elections for the lunchlady....I'm sorry I mean "food services specialists with no gender/sexual orientation specified or implied".

From what I can tell, it's an unpaid Board of Directors type thing.

Haha, no. I'm just an introvert who thought it would be funny to tell my friends to write me in for anything, including open positions and against anyone running unopposed.

If there is no position...no one can fill it.
