Why do people defend Trump

He is racist like most everyone else, yep
He is sexist like most everyone else, yep

He is wealthy and he got that way by being cunning and greedy, yep
Most people didn't vote for him because of himself, most people were just sick of party politics and professional politicians who didn't care about the people they represented

Most people voted Trump as a statement

Now it seems everyone is defending him like he is supposed to be a saint,mne isn't, why defend him
Trump is far from perfect and doesn't even seem to try to be

I just don't get why people are trying to make out he is some benevolent altruistic archetype when I doubt that is even the image he wants to portray

Because they have been bombarded with constant negative coverage of him by the media. They've pretty much been tricked into thinking he's an outsider because the "liberal" media has convinced them of that lie with their blatant and intentional biased coverage on him.

Pretty much reverse psychology. The media's coverage of Trump running up to the election pretty much handed him his base of supporters. The media took advantage of people's growing distrust of the MSM and used it against them.

Every time the media bashes Trump the further his supporters fall into their devotion to him. Controlled opposition, people seem to have forgotten that concept.

Trump is no saint, he is a politician doing his job

I just don't get why Trumps supporters can't say, Trump is an idiot at times but seems to be doing a good job

Not like Bush who was an idiot and then done a bad job or Obama who wasn't an idiot but did a terrible job in spite of himself

When a blatant injustice or accusations, lies or any other travesty takes place against an innocent individual, it is in the human nature to step in and defend that individual.

This also what comes to why one would need to defend Trump. There is no need as per se, but recognition of baseless accusations, or pure hate.

Like it or not Trump is a rich version of Archie Bunker who just happens to be the President of the United State of America. It's every bit the funny, rude sitcom that All in the Family was but with a prettier Edith & Gloria. It would possibly be sad if it wasn't driving the far left completely insane.

Trump is disagreeable, I am fine with that, I like that Trumps disagreeable and not politically correct, I like he uses Twitter and baits the media

I love how Trump says it as he sees it, no politician double speak, he is clear and passionate. The exact opposite of what people are used to.

People defend trump cause he's real, he makes mistakes just like an average person, he talks like an average person, he tries his best to please the majority just like an average person.
He's average, he's not a politician by primary usual occupation, thats why he was voted in -not as a statement , he ran paid for by himself, he was voted in, he's doing i would think exactly what any average joe would do if they were voted in.

Basically exactly the mentality that brought big Arnie to governorship.

The fact he's far from perfect is exactly what subconsciously the majority relate to. If we can't get a fair crack of the whip from a average joe - Well civil war or global war or both may very well follow.

They defend him cause he's in reality all that stands between the now - ( people's last chance ) and the usual oppressors.
