Apu from the Simpsons is being removed because of dumb people

I always thought that character was very cool and funny, turns out the dumb people in the US who can't even handle their own reality think he is not good enough, while most people on India actually are like this and there is nothing wrong to represent them, because they are great on their own way and no one on other country should have a say on their culture.

But no, lets stop showing that the world have different cultures and those all have their own accents and customs, idiotic stuff

Let's change Apu to be an Indian guy who goes to the US and turns white and then speaks with American accent and eats subway and stuff, and then he goes to have white kids and they all speak perfect english and never ever know or have any symbolism to actual Indian culture.

I bet the only idiotic people triggered by this are white people. No actual Indians were affected by it in the past like 30 years or whatever, until the idiotic crowd found a new reason to upset themselves and harm every other person in the world

Even though I do wish to agree with you, especially because I really enjoy the character of Apu, keep in mind it was an Indian that made the documentary "The Problem with Apu".

I've known a few Indian people and nobody ever had any issues with the character. I even learned how to do an Indian accent by watching the Simpsons, and my friend who's parents are from India actually helped me improve on it(we both enjoyed doing the accent while at work). It's not perfect, but after working in a retail outlet and selling to people visiting from India, I can honesty say it's not too far off. XD

The globalists want us all to be identical and as such, can all be controlled equally.

We need to celebrate the cultural differences, not condemn them.

Humor is the best tool to highlight those differences ... they make us laugh!

If things continue as they are, we will be in one of the most dangerous dysfunctional futures imaginable.

I have known Indian guys who reject their culture as well as Mexican, chilean, spaniards and other countrie's people who are trying to go away from their culture, they actually hate they had to be born on those countries, but true honest people that love their country and are proud would never talk like that, they would actually love the character

How about the other guys from Italy, or the Mexican bee guy that goes on Tv, or the jew priest? how come nobody is complaining about them?

It's been time for the Simpsons to just be canceled altogether. The show stopped being funny decades ago. Time to let the entire show go.

Where progressives are concerned, you cannot have something like Apu. I'll bet you that he wasn't even hated by many actual Indians. Most likely it was a bunch of upper class whites who were offended on behalf of Indians because they know better.

They do the same thing with school mascots. The Seminoles actually had to fight to keep their association with Florida State because white PC activists went on the warpath (oh, was that offensive? too bad) to get Native American mascots wiped out as offensive.

Comedy has always been about laughing about uncomfortable truths. Sadly the PC/NPC crowd have destroyed our ability to laugh at ourselves in these moments of uncomfortable truths. Even breaking bread at the dinner table where many of us regardless of our beliefs has become a target.

I know some as well, I'm half hispanic but I don't really associate with my hispanic culture at all, well, unless you count my love for mexican food. lol My old room-mate was full blooded native american who hated anything and everything to do with his culture.

I honestly don't agree with the removal of one of my favorite characters from the show, in fact, I may not watch the Simpsons as much as I used to but this move has guaranteed I won't watch any of it anymore. They might as well cancel the show now, it's had it's run, and many of what makes them great isn't allowed in 2018.

There's a lot of sad truth in this statement. I remember hearing throughout the years at how bad Speedy Gonzalez was, yet growing up I was never offended once by him. I've known a lot of people from Mexico and they all love Speedy. I've never once heard any hispanic person complain about the character, yet I've heard many white people tell me how offensively stereotypical he is. Many of them were the same type that would always claim they don't see color at all, which used to really get on my nerves. We live in a colorful world full of variety, yet they "blind" themselves all for the sake of being PC.

I work with quite a few Indians and none of them are the least bothered by this kind of thing. They tease us about aspects of Western culture and we tease back about the same thing, all in good humor. It was the same when I was still in the US and worked with many Canadians. There were jokes and teasing, but nothing malicious and hurtful. It's about intent, not finding anything and everything to be a deliberate attempt to offend.

It's the PC SJW crowd from the US that has ruined things and started the hue and cry. Just like the situation where the girl from the US was going to wear a beautiful traditional Chinese dress to prom and some SJW kid started screaming about appropriation and started other idiots harassing the girl, whereas actual people from China were honored and encouraged her to wear it.

We do still have South Park, but for how much longer?? I really do think Matt n' Trey are on their way out, which is why the most recent season isn't really that good in regards to writing, but you can definitely tell their goal is to offend people to the point where they get cancelled.



I'm really excited for the next episode, I'm curious who's next on their radar.

This started a long time ago. There are almost no showings of the best WW2 and pre WW2 era cartoons being shown anywhere (which anyone that was a child in the 1970's will remember dearly because they are really funny) because of asshats like Ted Turner who is like a media king prog version of Buzz Killington.

At first they were just buying up rights and then censoring that way. Now they push people into saying they are sorry for even having a sense of humor. It has to stop.

And to be honest, I refuse to apologize anymore. And not just on the internet. I refuse even in real life. Try it sometime, it feels good and it shocks people into rational thinking processes.

Unless they are SJW mode weirdo's. I am not sure there is any hope for them.

Sometimes I watch old George Carlin Videos and think "Good God what the PC crowd would do to him if he was still alive!" People now a days think James Woods is kickass/badass and while I think that's kinda true, he's got nothing on Carlin, that man was awesome! Or Phyllis Diller, or Don Rickles, they'd be crucified today!

I've never really watched the Simpsons, but this whole "cultural appropriation" and "everything is Racist/whateverist" PC crap makes me crazy and has got to go. No one stands up for themselves, and a "look" is offensive? Humans suck heh.
