Philip Green has been named in Parliament as the man hiding behind the super injunction , it may be super but it's no match for Parliamentary privilege.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Well caught!
Can’t say I’m surprised, the odious tick.

"Odious tick" - I like that. Can I borrow it?

I was really hoping it was him. Can't wait for the sordid details. Why has he still got his Knighthood?

Every time they go for him, he moves his boat.

The cheeky swine!

ETA:

Have to say though, is anyone surprised?

Haha be my guest!

In his case I’d be happy for a huge asset seizure (especially that damn yacht) and use the proceeds to compensate victims - if indeed the allegations can be proven true.

That yacht:

£100 million. Not at all jealous (honest) but even so, that is obscene.

Did he ever plug the hole in the BHS pension fund?

It would be interesting to hear from the Yanks on here who keep claiming that our Parliament cracks down on free speech and that we don't have any free speech etc.

Here we have Parliament in the form of Lord Hain using it's powers of privilege (free speech) to name names without fear or favour and in spite of a Court gagging order.

Over to you ill informed Yanks - put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Takes the name of Richard I grossly in vain. Blech.

Did I read last year he’d thrown £300m at the BHS black hole? Seems a token gesture.

I love the minuscule amount of F’s Lord Hain has given in exposing Green. I have my misgivings about the House of Lords and the peerage system, but he gets a thumbs up from me.

No problem with you. I was referring to the ill informed Yanks who were all over the Tommy Robinson threads saying we Brits have no free speech etc.

While I don't agree with what Sir Green did, or indeed, is doing, what I don't understand is how despite the Magna Carta which says that nobody is above the law, a Lord in the house of Lords can ignore a court injunction, and name the person involved.

At the very least that Lord should now go down for contempt of court. Anything less means that the Lords and MP's are indeed above the law of the land.
