Another suggestion would be to make it more interactive.

Ask subscribers to send in political questions or opinions and read them and then give your opinion.
That would work with your debate partner too.
Sports shows are great at this and it can be very captivating to watch.

Yes you are exactly right.

I need to definitely work on doing a better job with this.

I think I will start livestreaming every week or month and ask people to send me questions in real time for starters.

I think you need 1,000 subscribers in order to monetize. I'm subscribed! As far as the poster saying to make your background more interesting, you could put up a poster or something. There's probably Youtube videos about how to spiffy up your background on the cheap.

Edit: Okay I watched another video.

- You desperately need some curtains. You can get these at Dollar General or similar.

- Relocate that sad calendar. It's saggy. Replace it with some cheap wall hanging.

A few months ago I decided I might make a youtube channel and start creating videos that will go along with threads, but I haven't got that far yet. I need new equipment and I'm about to move to Colorado where hopefully I can find a solid place to live for awhile.

I have some really creative ideas for how to build videos and have been studying techniques from some channels that teach this type of thing.

To the OP : I highly recommend you search for some tips on making flashier videos! There's a ton of info out there giving walk-throughs and suggesting good software/hardware etc.
