Are you friends with murderers and Islamic Terrorists, because this country is.
It is one thing to meddle and another thing entirely to trade with them and call them our allies.

Noone is holding a gun to our head to trade with them.

Sadly true, and sadly will be ignored.

It is what they do

Trump's reluctance to deal with this (like always) has been linked to financial ties to the kingdom (I know, old news), but I have to wonder if there isn't more to it.

Khashoggi worked for WashPo. It's been suggested Kushner was feeding him the names of dissidents

Haley resigned according to sources a week before the 9th - approximately when Khashoggi went missing. It's also been reported that Trump knew about this as soon as it happened

what is the correct play here? What could Trump do to be "right" in your eyes?

(I know the answer, but for sh!ts and giggles, I'll ask anyhow)

Follow in the footsteps of the last 10 deepstate presidents.
That makes Trump the same as them.

He was a Saudi dissident. Wrote articles critical of the Saudi leaders.

If true, that that's pretty damned sick of the Saudi's.

But there'd have to be more.

Like he knew Saudi's have nukes or are eating babies or something!

Will bombing women and children in Syria do?
With the bombs we sold them?

What do we do with people that supply terrorists with weapons......

All true.

And if I were in charge, things would be different.

I think we should get out of OPEC personally.

'You Couldn't Make This Up': A Bunch of Mops, Cleaners, and Trash Bags Delivered to Saudi Consulate Ahead of Khashoggi Murder Probe

As one reporter joked, "the way to preserve the integrity of a possible crime scene and bolster confidence in the investigation is to bring in a bunch of cleaners through the front door before the detectives arrive."

a denial Trump dutifully echoed to reporters while suggesting that perhaps "rogue killers" were behind the gruesome crime—video cameras captured a team of cleaners hauling several buckets of mops, two large cases of trash bags, Dixi cleaning solution, another carton of what appears to be bleach, and two cases of Pinar milk through the front door of Saudi Arabia's consulate in Istanbul.

IF this Was the 1960's , then yeah , I Might . It was a Speculative Post . I was Alive back then and Remember how the United States committed International Crimes against other Nations in the Name of Keeping the Peace in the World . The C.I.A. Was a Big Part of it too . Today , I would Never Personally Condone such Criminal Behavior from my Government , so Am I Guilty of some Kind of " Thought Crime " here ? Hmm....

Turkish investigators were not allowed in to the Saudi consulate before today. They spent 9 hours inside and emerged with some soil samples, and "metal door".

www.cnbc.com...

I wonder how that metal door figures in to the alleged Interrogation/Murder?

This man wasn’t a American citizen and therefore should not be a concern to our nation. I could pretend to be outraged, but frankly we have a lot worse things going on here at home that need attention.

We need to keep our focus on problems here at home before we go out of our way to tell other sovereign nations what they are doing wrong.

Even worse, what interrogator brings a bone saw unless they plan on killing and dismembering him.

Oh, stop, it was to carve up the roast they were serving him for lunch, the King said so.

All I know is that if this had been the Iranians Trump would have been going ape#....and so would the vast majority of his supporters.

Seems to me some people are very comfortable with Saudi Arabia's support and exportation of Islamic extremism and terrorism and their excessive use of brutality and torture both domestically and outside of its own borders.

Think of oil as the blood that keeps the US the absolute freest country in the world.

Sometimes we trade people blood for it.

Oh also, Saudis are great friends.

True, without oil our armored freedom-dispensers are nothing more than expensive lawn ornaments. We need to free up our oil that these people live on top of so we can give them freedom just like us.

Now we're talking.

Gear up boys! We got ourselves another freedom expedition.

Grab everything you need so we can hunker down and drink beer while we talk about the teenagers we sent over to keep gas prices lower than Europe.
