Please explain what a "thorough" investigation would be, and then please explain why the accuser did not file a criminal complain with the authorities so that could take place.

That was way too close.
Democrats had no reason to vote no other than political.

I thought a few of the Dems might break, particularly the ones losing or in tight races in an attempt to save their butts because it's clear this Kavanaugh thing is not at all playing well in certain parts of the country.

But Heitkamp is a no. Of course, she's also down so far, I don't think even a yes will save her.

Donnally has said he's a no, but he's also sounded shaky recently. He's very close to his challenger and just recently fell down, so it's clear that this is a Kavanaugh thing. He might break.

And Manchin may vote yes because of his position in West Virginia. He's always been the most independent of the Democrat caucus.

Any win you can walk away from is a good win.

According to MD police, the most likely charges brought forward are outside the statute of limitations.

Article going over this topic.

As for thorough, it would be an investigation not limited to only what the people who want Kavanaugh confirmed more then anything want investigated. Its pretty simple and has been explained many times by many different people on ATS.

Only reason to vote no today was to delay....

What would happen if one or more of the senators who voted "yes" died by Leftist Authoritarians before the final vote tomorrow?

In other words, the Democrats who all came out to begin with and announced they would vote no want full control of the process.

Does that sound fair to you? Not to mention, since this was done through the Congressional Committee system, the Democrats are not the party in charge by reason of which party holds a majority. This basically asks the party in power to cede their rights to the party not in power.

Technically speaking Bk was never charged nor does have a GD conviction for sexual assault or 'rape' or whatever else his haters pull out of their fascist rears.

If you would just check your partisan-ship at the door you might have noticed that I never said he was guilty or charged or charged with a crime. Only that the allegations were not corroborated due to limited investigation put on as a show for the "undecided" GOP members by the White House.

That committee has their own investigators, the question that needs to be asked is why didn't Feinstein bring up the charges in a closed door session and then have their investigators go over everything with a fine tooth comb rather than wait till the last second and have a public clown show, and demand the FBI investigate knowing full well they would not go much beyond a standard background check which would return the same thing it had all the previous times.
