If by baggage you mean democrats didn't like that he's a constitutionalist, you're right. I get that all you guys have is conflation (thus the reason you use the term baggage rather than partisanship) but you really need to just grow up and accept your lumps like an adult. There's never been a less qualified judge than sotomayor, yet she got 68 votes, meaning 15 republicans voted for her. Meanwhile, kavanaugh has a long, prisitne career, the right education, heaping praise from everyone he's known. How many dems will vote for him? I am betting 1.

Which is exactly why this "blue wave" idea is sheer fantasy. The same folks who voted for Trump as an end to this kind of BS are the same ones voting in the midterm.
