Halloween Skies to Include Dead Comet Flyby

The large space rock that will zip past Earth this Halloween is most likely a dead comet that, fittingly, bears an eerie resemblance to a skull. 
Scientists observing asteroid 2015 TB145 with NASA's Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) on Mauna Kea, Hawaii, have determined that the celestial object is more than likely a dead comet that has shed its volatiles after numerous passes around the sun.

You could even say it's a zombie comet.

Cue the the doomsday apocalypse predictions.

While it's pretty cool that this comet will be passing by around Halloween.
I think it's pretty obvious it's just a chance angle and shadows. Still, it's interesting.

According to Randall Carlson, it was around Halloween as we passed through one of the debris fields from the comet Encke that we got mightily slammed at the end of the Younger Dryas, which caused all kinds of bad stuff to happen.

So get your bug out bags ready.
