During our vast renovation, we had to replace all electrical including the meter box and every outlet in this house. Previous amp from Power Co was 100amp service as we upgraded everything to be 200amp service due to central air/heat and other modern day appliances.

Every time the condenser kicks on, the house lights dim for a split second. I think to myself, are the wires from the pole large enough guessing the Power Co was OK with reconnecting the service wires 2/0 and our intent of 200amp service. Maybe there is something else to look for as the lights dim. I guarantee all new wiring is of proper gage w/grnd & connection.

Yo I think it will be handy if posting anything electrical to remember and state what electrical safety standards you were using as I know they are different from the UK/EU to the US , to China or Russia for example .
Just so that users arent getting their wires crossed when responding!

Great idea but we're world wide!! Lots of different codes and processes, I would think everyone would have to participate with that knowledge.

That said I work on electrical components world wide. North and South America and most of Europe and I do have questions sometimes that are not easy to get answers for.

Aye plus the safety standards are changing all the time and are constantly being renewed!

An electrician installed a new consumer unit in my fathers house and he had to test nearly every wire in the house to make sure they were all up to standard , took ages and cost a pretty penny!
