Hi everybody,
I am new to this site, first time here today.
I heard something scary yesterday from a friend in
Oklahoma City. Her husband has two cousins there
in the Air Force, one of which flies one of those big
AWAK planes, not sure the job of the other. One of
these men told them that on numerous occasions
recently, private planes have been shot down on or
around city borders, like Oklahoma City. Apparently one
went down recently in Lake Hefner, on the north side of
Okc, and from what the cousin said who is in the Air Force
there, it wasn't the only incident. He stated something to the
effect that if the planes don't identify themselves properly
or something similiar- then they are perceived to be a threat and
shot down. He says it's a very hush-hush thing.......not suppose
to be public knowledge (obviously). Has anybody heard anything
else like this from military members? Remember, this is just
something that was heard....I would like to know if anybody
else has heard this, also.....

Can you post any links from the news there in OKC. It's a large city, so I'm sure people would have seen this happening.

IF this is really happeneing, I'm going to assume (since no evidence of anything yet) that the planes being shot down contain terrorists, drug smugglers and/or illegal aliens, and not average Americans who fly their own planes. And IF that is is the case, I say "fire away!".

BTW, the air force plane as called an "AWACS", not "AWAK".

thanks for the correction on the AWAC planes, I don't know much about planes....just heard this from my friend, like I said. I do not know of any direct links....haven't researched any of this yet, anyway, but the website for Oklahoma City news is:
www.newok.com...
I'm sure they'd have something about the plane crashes....don't know the reason they gave for the crashes.
I'd like for you to post again if you, yourself find out anything else about this,
thanks,
krissy

Private planes? There is evidence suggesting that the AF may have been ordered to shoot down public planes by President Bush & VP Dick Cheney:

"Pursuant to the president's instructions, I gave authorization for them to be taken out," Cheney told Rumsfeld, who was at the Pentagon. Informing Rumsfeld that the fighter pilots had received orders to fire, Cheney added, "It's my understanding they've already taken a couple of aircraft out."

Cheney's comments, which were soon proved erroneous, were detailed in a report issued yesterday by the commission investigating the terrorist attacks. The comments are part of the considerable confusion that surrounded top government officials as the tense drama unfolded.

I didn't realize proof was possible regarding military ops!

well being a brit in portugal i havent got much to say on the subject but the guy that teaches me to fly was delivering a stuntplane to a customer in spain a few years ago and flew through restricted air space....he got buzzed by a couple of military jets but he thought they had just popped up to say hello so he went inverted waving at them......when he turned the radio on....they gave him about 30 seconds to comply with them escorting him out of their airspace or 'good night gracey'!
