Texas father and son allegedly killed neighbor over mattress in trash bin

Vigilante alley protectors. You don't go to an alleyway brandishing guns without some intent on using them. I stand by the second, But would not stand next to either of these idiots for a single second.

The guy that got killed is also a moron. You don't go threatening someone brandishing weapons. You call the police. End of story. I don't care if they are brandishing weapons with your kids around. "Fat Punisher" and "Fat Punisher Jr." were looking for an excuse to smoke this guy. Escalating things the way he did only reinforced this notion in their heads.
As soon as he saw guys with guns, then maybe just maybe its time to walk away from this, is anything for the sake of your wife and kids. But no, instead he threatens them and gets killed in front of his wife and kids over a junk mattress.

Dude did not deserve to die because of...words, or a damn worthless mattress. These two need to go to prison. Like I said from the start, You don't go into an alleyway with guns unless your looking for trouble. Looking for violence.

How petty. Sure I have heated arguments over politics, science, hell even Star Wars Vs. Star Trek...so we agree to disagree, I don't grab a Star Wars book from my book shelf and beat a dude to death with it.

Of all things it was a mattress? was it 24 carat? was the body of Jimmy Hoffa stuffed inside it? I might be wrong but this seems like a case of a simmering neighborhood resentment that boiled over.

They get into an argument and the dad and son pull out guns. Any sane person would have walked away and called the cops. No, he badgers the two fat slobs and they eventually gun him down. Now he's dead and they're going to prison. I see many videos where a loser tries to provoke the other person knowing its being recorded and they can then go after them in court. Doing this to an armed jerk is insane.

A double case of stupidity.

That being said, the dude doing all the yelling should have left and called the cops and let them sort it out. So that makes him the more stupid one, IMO.

That’s a rather broad brush. I am American (and not ashamed to say it) and I think that just in this thread alone, I’ve explained the way this should have been handled by the guy who got killed. It is not a gun issue. I will agree with your assessment that it’s a mental health issue.

That is a mental issue in it self.
The video is a perfect example.
eg. 1) block head zombie using a gun to 'solve' a 'problem'.
2) emotionally riled guy trying to get his opinion across but gets 'censored'.
Americans need to put down their guns and listen on an equal footing, regardless
of 'differences'.
Guns never solve arguments, politically, racially, nor culturally,
to think that guns can, is brain damage in it self.

Threads like this remind me why the US has a third world gun crime problem: too many of you hold life cheap.

If anyone should have walked away i think it should have been the guy with two guns in his face. What kind of idiot stands there (assuming he was unarmed) unarmed and makes death threats and provokes the two guys that have firearms. Dont bring a knife to a gun fight and certainly dont bring fists to a gun fight silly!

Im not saying the two shirtless fatties aren't stupid. And I'm not saying they are innocent. I'll let the jury be the judge of that.

I was watching the video and I noticed that it appears that the police arrived about literally five seconds too late. At the tail end of the video you can hear men saying "stay right there" "get down" "face down".

Also as I believe it was Grambler that first pointed out, it appears Shrek had brought a ball bat to a gun fight. In the video after the first two shots you see old shirtless dodge the object after Shrek thrusts it toward his direction.

To me, there seemed to be a few extra shots. I dont know why im thinking this, perhaps someone on the team opposite of the fat boys popped off a few rounds. Maybe not, just a thought.

I think the guy with a shotgun and a pistol in front of him should have taken shelter. His wife is just as dumb for hanging out there too, she could have just as well been shot.

If i seen a couple of guys coming with guns in their hands you better believe I'm not going to hang around just to see if they have the balls or the stupidity to shoot me. And I damn sure ain't gonna hang out there and threaton the lives of the dudes with guns and get in their face yelling at the top of my lungs at them.
