The answer to your questions is in the post you responded to.

Maybe you were just expounding on my point.

No, I was encouraging you to ask questions and give it further thought.

Trump Tower COLLUSION!

I think it will start more boring than that.

Trump Junior will get indicted for lying to Federal Investigators and Congress.

At least that is what Roger Stone predicts.

Hyperbole mixed with some truth.

I thought everyone knew that mueller would have to go through the motions before trump would pardon or else he would be obstructing an investigation and subject not to laws against obstruction since potus is incapable but possible impeachment.

Yes it would be dumb to pardon manafort before convictions were reached and all charges raised and dealt with.

That is why i say time served is the better option for all three sides. Mueller gets credit manafort gets to keep some assetts and trump does not have to take heat for pardon.

Never the less mueller knows very well no matter the charge or convictions that if they do not tie to trump then manafort is pardoned.

The only wrench in the operation would be some ties to trump but none exist but if they manage to find some we are not aware of then things change much and likely we will see some military action on foreign shores in order to distract from the heat of pardoning folks and retaining power.

i am not saying that i recommend any paths but imo this is what we honestly face as a nation and world.

You forgot that Manafort only plead guilty to two charges, while "admitting" guilt in the charges that were dropped.

Put another way, neither double jeopardy, nor a Federal Pardon could save him from State Level Charges

Manafort would still face slam-dunk state charges for money laundering, bank fraud, state tax fraud, and other crimes if he were to receive a presidential pardon (which affects only federal crimes).

www.vox.com...

And the constitutional validity of a self-serving Presidential pardon meant to obstruct an ongoing investigation into his own campaign is an open question that no doubt would be challenged in court with an uncertain outcome.

Also any Pardon of either Manafort or Cohen would not guarantee their freedom (State Charges), would have it's validity challenged in court, and would precipitate calls for impeachment.

If Trump could have pardoned Cohen or Manafort, he would have.

Yea i do not think ney york wants to get involved.

That would be pretty dumb. To make an enemy of the potus. Safe to say trump has new york in the bag.

Nevertheless good point there.

nice opinion you keep reverting to about the impeachment for pardons. i do not buy into that.

The only curve ball in this would be mueller actually having collusion proof otherwise he is just being a bully.

New York is the one that opened the expansive investigation into Trump's Charity.

They aren't worried about Trump.

Well, as Reuters and AP don't post junk, it turned out to be true.

Here is a newer thread started today that discusses the actual repercussions and not potential ones.

Not a peep has come from Muellers team. Not one peep.

The leaks all come from the very best people that trump happens to hire. The ones that wind up in jail or pleading guilty to crimes.

comedy hour

yet we have more for me not to purchase

I believe trump likely has dirt on new york officials and i hold no hope of justice being served from that area if there is such to be had.

Mueller is trying his best to stay relevant. Today, he accused Paul Manafort of violating his Plea-Deal.

www.foxnews.com...

Wasn't Manafort sentenced this Summer for enough years to keep him in prison to age 90? Like I said, Mueller is beating a dead horse, just keep his witch-hunt going.

Is there a particular reason that you are dismissing the investigation before the final results have been tabled? There are (obviously) political hacks who are doing time as a result of his inquiries. There will (obviously) be more. Why is this a bad thing when there is a swamp to be drained?
