Queensland schoolgirl threatened with suspension after refusing to stand for national anthem

To this day I remember my 5th grade classmate would stand at the pledge of allegiance but not put her hand over her heart nor recite the pledge.I asked her why and she said she was a Jehovah’s Witness (I had no idea what that was) and I said “ok” and that was that.But she still stood.My 2 cents.

Thinking for yourself, questioning your reality, and going against social norms is something that most people never touch till college.


Sounds like she is on the right path. Just as long as her parents don't push their views on her.
