But I think they did discuss the assasination of Assad. And in general I can see both being men who speak their minds. Just that the public couldn't handle it as well if it came out they are calling eachother fifth graders is mild in comparison.

I'm going to trust what Secretary Mattis has to say.

He strikes me as being a very honorable man. And the tone of his denial sounds like he's pissed off.

I'd say General Mattis probably knows how to kill you in more ways than you know how to die. I wouldn't want to be on his bad side.

This reinforces it for me, Woodward failed to verify the information the way he used to.

Mattis stuck to his guns even though it cost him his job under Obama, he doesn't need this job beyond wanting to continue serving his country. A ground pounder combat marine could live very very well on a generals retirement, yet this formerly reputable reporter wants to disparage the general for the sake of his hit piece.


He should have just said my sources beg to differ, but to call the generals liars and state they are just trying to save their job, nope I am done with him he sold his soul.
