I'm happy about clean eating, but it is in no way synonymous with being rich and fancy.

that soul food though
it is synonyous with frying every thing in lard though so maybe there is that.

are steamed veggies a white person thing too?
im not sure.

This topic is so stupid, my left eye started bleeding after I read it.

First world problems.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what "Black people food" is. I don't have a clue. I don't think there is a culture cuisine called "black".

Soul food, Caribbean cuisine, Southern cuisine (which is a blend of African and Caribbean).

His restaurant specializes in dishes like vegan BBQ rib tips, smoked collard greens, vegan mac and cheese, candied yams, vegan drumsticks, smoothies and fresh-pressed juices.

He created his restaurant to provide patrons with a healthier version of soul food, which he says is inherently unhealthy. “It’s heavy, greasy, animal-product based ... in its original form,

Vegan BBQ ribs? I gotta draw the line there.

Call it what it most likely is, tofu with some sauce.

This is ridiculous.

Food is for everyone... food doesn't look at what colour you are as a person as long as you like it... nuts and onions... seriously?

Vegans have ribs. They tend to stick out of their sickly unhealthy skin after eating soy grass and tofu oils.

In Texas, when there is no meat on 'em, it doesn't qualify as a rib.

I had a great steak sub Friday at a Cuban sandwich shop. She put those hard, shoe string french fry kinda things that come in a bag or can. With those fries things and the crispy Cuban bread, did I say it was great.

Actually, the gist of the article is that people should not think that way although, they do lay some of the blame on how healthy food is marketed.

I think the take away idea of the article is that people will resist changes in diet if it includes things they don't identify with.
