It was American nationalism that landed people on the moon.

Aka rocket engineering?

What the eff has social engineering accomplished?

Other than banning flags, tearing down statues, and banning people with different beliefs on FascistBook,TwitterNazi, and Youcommie.

As the moon landings proven the skies the limit when 'crazy' people don't get shut up.

Engineers, scientists, technicians etc from many countries where involved on The Apollo Project to put a man on the moon.

Should flags of their countries also have been planted on the moon?

Nope. We footed the bill. They were working for the US. Other countries have their flag on the moon because THEY planted it there.

Sounds a lot like "You didn't build that" to me.

Maybe you could learn something from this.

www.telegraph.co.uk...

Ok, so we used a few brits to help build the rockets. We also used Von Braun and he was a nazi. Remember, those guys that were shooting rockets at britan in WWII, whom in turn could not defend against? That guy was way ahead of his time, even by britains standards. Without him, we wouldn't have been as advanced as fast as we were, britain included.

Perhaps Russia should say we americans were in space first because a lot of their tech came from spying. No, it doesn't work that way.

Sorry bud. The bulk were still americans, paid for by american funds, and landed on by american astronauts. An american first footprint and an american flag planted.

If you want to rewrite history, be my guest... I'm still going to remember it as it was and I'll simply pay zero mind to the people or the movies that want to change that, because.... America. If people are that ashamed, then they should just simply not make the movie at all. No, they'd rather muck up history for their own ends.

Pitiful

Good old Wernher Von Braun. Who should of been put on trial for War Crimes.

Not something for America to be proud of.

It was American exceptionalism that landed a man on the Moon.

They can white wash movies.

But the real one is still flying there on the moon.

And they will never get their grubby little fingers on it.

That and elbow grease.

Truer words were never spoken.

I watched it live as well.

Unless there are boobs or Iron Man in it, I won't see it.

We'll have to wait for the deluxe edition deleted scenes for Iron Man cameo, Barbarella, and a scene where they burn the flag before returning to earth

Right now it is in vogue for Hollyweird, to piss on anything remotely patriotic. I’ll spend my money on ammo as well. Nice thought WUNK22.

I bet there's an outtake where the "That's one small step..." delivery had an ad-lib about 'toxic masculinity.'

Not every movie out there has to have a constant patriotic circlejerk feel to it. So they omitted the flag scene, whoopie s#. Did they drastically alter the rest of the story, too? No? Then appreciate the work for what it was back then -- damn hard. If your appreciation for milestones hinges on prostrating at a flag on the screen, you already don't appreciate a damn thing to begin with.

The presence lack thereof of symbolism is NOT the be all, end all of American achievements. IMO, clinging to the effing flag completely cheapens some of the hardest won "firsts" we've done. Talk about useless idolatry, you're putting an object over people in terms of importance. I don't give a flying excretion if we have a flag up there or not, that's not the important part of the challenge. The important part was GETTING there to begin with. Ignoring the amount of work it took to get to the moon in favor of an object being or not being in a scene, something that didn't have much to do with that work -- people did it, not flags -- should be a huge (proverbial) red flag that there is something very wrong with people today. They don't appreciate ANYTHING without having some reason to wave a star spangled wang around.

The simplest observation first. No tire tracks or tracks walking side by side. Why does anyone need more proof than that?
